Hardware Turns out a glitch in Kirby's Adventure breaks your disk drive

In Kirby's Adventure (Kirby's 20th Anniversary Collection) there is a glitch in World 6 that can crash your game. I tried doing this glitch on my Wii and it crashed my system entirely. Performing this glitch caused my wii to crash every time I put a disk in. So just a little warning: DO NOT PERFORM THIS GLITCH!!!

I meant are you sure it would break a disc drive again. Obviously you could only break yours once.

No way this is related to disk drive. This is exclusively done in the emulator sandbox.

The Wii disc drives were trash and broke after reading too many dual layer discs. More likely you played ssb too much.

Anyhow, like Vinny said - this breaking your disc drive makes no logical sense.

So I think it is a big coincidence.

It's very unlikely a NES game borked your DVD drive,
The DVD drive isn't in use at all and to me knowledge, no other system service that controls the DVD drive is used for NES emulation.

I think your DVD drive was just shot already, the final reboot just made the drive die.

Yes, but the drive should not be able to read the disc to play the game if it is broken. Even if you simply reset it.

Unless you are saying broken as in it won't eject games - and not as in it won't read games.

The Kirby's 20th anniversary collection contains 6 retro kirby games. One of them being kirby's adventure.

Maybe it broke the 2nd or 3rd time, because that is when the drive broke.
