Hacking Trying to Learn to Install VC Games with Trucha Signer/WAD Installer

Hey guys,

So I'm hoping to be able to install VC games on my NTSC Wii.

I've downloaded TruchaSigner and WAD Installer.

I found the key.bin, I opened it in HEX mode, copied the info into the wiikeyset.reg file (did it twice and triple checked). I've since added it tot he registry multiple times. However, no matter what, each time I try to use Trucha Signer to open an ISO, I get the error: "Error decrypting data".

I've tried multiple disks... what could I be doing wrong? I'm on XP btw. I followed the directions in this post:

I'm hoping to be able to complete the instructions in this post once I resolve this issue:

Is that the best way to go about it? Any advice for a newbie in this area of Wii hacking?

Go to Select Keyset>>>Custom Keyset 1

I actually just followed the information here which was much easier and did what I needed to do: install VC games!

thanks for that info, the instructions i was following didn't tell you which file needed to be replaced
