Try to launch anything with this:
new version:
http://www.mediafire.com/?hxw2lhmtkom

old version:
http://www.mediafire.com/?nhm2itmdnzn

And post the following:
Your cIOS(botton right of the screen)
If you already know if your drives accepts backups or not
the 3 values

I hope these 3 values allow to identify the "bad" drives so people don't need to burn 100 discs trying to figure this one out in future.

"Good" numbers:
0 2 537265446 (=0x20060526, Launch day Wii)
0 2 537266439 (=0x20060907)
0 2 537330195 (=0x20070213, D2C or D2C2?)

"Bad" numbers:
Need confirmation: 0 2 537397012 (=20080714)

It's either a D2C or D2C2 drive... Can't really tell the difference (not that it matters much nowadays), though I believe it is D2C2.

Bottom line: It can handle disc backups.

The 3rd value seems to be indeed some date, see translated to hex values. Now if i knew the earliest value for drives that can't read backups, i could add this info to NeoGamma + i could write a program that checks this and does not require a cIOS.

WiiPower i got the newest wii here , i got one last night .. and your app doesnt work on it .. do i have to install cios first on it .. bc i dont have it on the system and your app doesnt work ..

If you are on 4.2, you have to delete the stub 1st and/or install a cIOS. I think there are enough other people out there who can post the info. I guess you already know your wii won't read backup discs. Check back here when you have a cIOS(for usb loading) or the test program is finished.

its not my wii, that information is from another guy...i can´t be 100% sure

0 2 537397012 I got that error too. I can't seem to be able to install cios 249.
It freeze on me before I can push A to accept.

dont't seem to be able to read back up disk.

Dunno what to do next. *sigh*

Seem? I need real info.

If you don't have a cIOS, then it has a reason why no backups work. There are enough guides here that explain well enough how to get a cIOS and everything running.
