Homebrew Trying to get started with installing cfw on my wii-u

im following a guide located here.

I get to this part and I an unable to download the SD.7z because the file has been pulled or the link is broken or something idk.

You will have to compile iosuhax yourself. I don't remember all the requirements, but armips was one I had trouble with. I found a compiled binary on a 3ds tools github. Everything else is on the homebrew App Store. Good luck!

Link most likely had a FW.bin file in it which is considered warez/copyrighted material which is why it was taken down. You can compile your own by following the guide here: http://gbatemp.net/threads/building-iosuhax-on-windows.447023/

Depending on what you're trying to do you can use this guide and skip IOSUHax: https://github.com/FlimFlam69/WiiUTutorial/wiki

A couple of days ago he had the compiled IOSUHax fw.img on there but now he just uses the system signature check patcher instead. IOSUHax doesn't do much more currently unless you're trying to use WUP Server for something. If that's the case you probably don't need help compiling. If you just want to play backups the Signature Check Patcher will work.
