Tl;Dr
If the heating of the planet continues, outside of the insane weather conditions of increased hurricanes, tornadoes, and wildfires (Which the stuff we're already seeing an increase in is just a small fraction of what's going to happen if global leaders don't do something)
Photosynthesis might just break down entirely as if it's get to hot, plant matter/leaves can hit a critical threshold where they biologically can no longer do most of their processes.
Currently already a very small amount of leaves in these forests are already experiencing this. "some 0.01%"
Considering that we're already locked in to a lot more warming even if we do act (all depends on when things change), this could still rise to a worrying degree.

All this stuff is happening well ahead of even "worst case scenario" forecasts. The oil industry has ensured that we won't be prepared.
eh, all we can do is keep hope. Can't do anything if we already feel like it's a lost cause. Most that can be done is mitigate, just take any opportunity we can, however few they are.
