Thank you so much. Since this is an external dongle I should treat it as method 1 correct? Pin 1 is my switch I will need to connect to ground to toggle payload? Looking at the files I'm not 100% sure what uf2is considered for the external install I don't think I need swiftboot since of how it's installed but there is a rebug legacy and generic. I think I ruled out the method 3 file since it's method 1?
Yes correct. Just have a play with the different files.
The generic dongle version has payload increase, mode increase and vol+ broken out. Can`t remember which is which now lol

Thanks for the help. I have the files setup now. Parts should be here soon. It looks like the writeup and changelog don't match so what I was thinking of as mode 3 (8 payloads selectable) is now mode 2.

Probably. I`ve messed that up no doubt.

The chip isn`t meant to respond.

I think we have our wires crossed here!

The "disable chip" feature will NOT enable a normal boot. To enable a normal boot, or go from normal boot & dual-boot to permanent CFW boot, you need to download the correct UF2 bootloader. Go to my GIT and download a "switchboot part 1" file.

I`m in the process of updating the OP.

Hello,

have tried this now, with both boot loaders Part 1

but unfortunately without success ...

would it be an option to simply enable it in the current Trinket_Legacy_Method3?

Just a little confused. Updated to v1. I press power and it boots into the standard Hekate. I checked and i have no payload.bin on my SD card. If I turn on and hold volume down at the same time then it boots into switchboot Hekate. I have joycon and volume straps. Been checking for a while and I'm possibly just being silly but hope someone can help.

You have an update.bin in your bootloader folder.

Delete this, or download v1 bin file from my git and rename to update.bin. however you shouldn't need to

Disconnect from PC
Is the LED red on the trinket? After pressing RESET twice?
If so, plug in. SWITCHBOOT should pop right up.

OK...
I have recreated the problem...

I think it is v7.0.1 firmware or Sept maybe (?) where the problem lies.

Best thing to do, is boot into Hekate / Switchboot, double-press reset... Plug in. Nothing will happen.

Now, boot using your preferred option in the menu. As soon as Horizon frees the port, SWITCHBOOT will pop up.

Nothing I have done! This is not the code!

Is the problem in all the earlier uf2 softwares with 7.0.1 or just these latest versions you've released ?

I was thinking about updating to 7.0.1 but not if there are conflicts

Thanks
Nope. Nothing to do with my code. This is a 7.0.1 / sept thing.

Actually... Fuck it...

New option coming in v1.1 where you can update your chip while booted into Switchboot.

Will be labelled something like "Disable USB for UF2 update"

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I know it's not the code mate... Sorry, what I'm asking is are there clashes with sept with older versions of the boot software or just your latest releases?

Thanks
All versions since Sept / 7.0.1 by the looks of it.

Works fine when booted into 6.2.0.

Well, you always can boot to OFW if you don't care about burn efuses...

Maybe the AMS powerdown code is making "something" that affects to switboot bootloader.

Has anybody tested the new sxos which supports 7.0.1 and doesn't use sept ?

I could then update and use sxos wirhoiw issue

Me, but not the reset chip under SXOS because I have dualboot and I always use OFW for modchip updates.

RCM-X86 (SWITWBOOT 1.0) only joycon (dualboot)

Sysnand 7.0.1 officially upgraded
Emunand (hidden partition) 6.2.0 upgraded to 7.0.1 (exFAT) via ChoidujourNX

Playing with Dragon Ball FighterZ 1.14 and SSBU 2.0.1

Also want to know. Did you already tried? Currently using rather old 0.9.6 UF2 on 6.2.0 with sxos 2.5.3. Also want to update [emoji6]
