    Hey Guys,

I've read several times on google and various threads in this forum that if you trim an nds rom that is DSi Enhanced, then it will become corrupt. Are there any trimming applications that have fixed this problem? [IMG]

    Thanks!

yes, I believe I was one of the first people to report this. Despite it happening for quite a while, few people have noticed.

I've brought it to the attention of the author of NDSTokyoTrim. He's updated it so that it will now skip DSi enhanced roms, he will release it soon.

The homepage for NDSTokyoTrim is here

TinyTrimmer already skips DSi enchanted games. I recommend that.

Are you saying the new version will trim them, or simply detect DSi enhanced roms and won't try to trim them?
I suspect it's the latter, which is a bit of a shame.

It'll detect DSi enhanced roms and skip them, leave them untrimmed. Tiny Trimmer is already has this feature http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=95643

To be honest so few people have noticed the trimmers have been buggering up the DSi Enchanced games, i'm not sure it's worth them trying to figure out how to trim them. Presumably some of the DSi enchanced data is in the area which normally gets trimmed.

Most of the DSi enchanced games are pretty crap too, few big titles.

Wait what are you saying that trimming a dsi enhanced game stops it from playing. If that is what I am interpreting then that is a lie I have trimmed 3 or 4 dsi enhanced games and all play fine, but also the so called dsi enhanced games are not truly enhanced since they do not contain the dsi data since no one has been able to dump that part of a rom correctly, for public use at least.

If that is not what you are saying then please inform me, since this is the first I have ever heard about it , and also disregard the first part, if the latter applies.

Well, my friend has Sonic Classic Collection trimmed on his AK2 and it's working fine.

Sonic Classic Collection is not a dsi enhanced game, it was just a weird dump that took a few days to fully understand.

Has anybody tried trimming Assassin's Creed 2? Does it still work smoothly after the trim?

Yeah Assassin's Creed 2 played fine when I trimmed it, and so did my other dsi enhanced games.

I'm adding trimming support for DSi enhanced roms to NDSTokyoTrim, it'll be ready in a few days. The changes in the trimming procs are already done and I'm just testing at the moment [IMG]
