Anyway, next version will include:
* Game filter (you can select what games you want to see: WiiWare, NES...)
* Vertical covers for NES and Megadrive games
* Load images from USB

Oh, and for now, triiforce mrc will keep using cIOS249. If anyone wants to use another cIOS, it's as simple as modify a line on source.

Awesome, great work. Looking forward to the next one.

Offtopic for mrc, but are you aware of what the issue with triiforce are with Ciosrev16 and being unable to return to triiforce menu from game exit with usb nand emulation? I assume these are CIOS issues?

is there a way of globally changing settings? I find that most games do not work unless i chose "apploader" as the boot method.

and what is the deal with the regions of games? ie if i grab a ntsc game, should i be able to play it on my pal wii? I struggle to get games to work even if showmiithewads region free's it. will i have to force a region/video mode within triiforce?

keep up the great work. love the app

You should make some option about "cIOS Selection" on the app (cIOS249 or cIOS199). In this way, people can choose which cIOS are going to use to run the nand emulation

Very, Very good idea. I second that notion. That would be very nice, then everyone could just grab it here instead of waiting for this guy or that guy to compile a suitable version for themselves. 1 size fits all kinda deal.

I'm having trouble getting Castlevania Rebirth the boot past the logo screen. I've tried waiting for a rediculous amount of time... nothing. I also tried installing a savegame into emu nand, but still not working. Any suggestions?

@Kazoo52

Thought you had that working, glad you reposted. How did you manage to extract a game save, and then properly install it onto an emulated nand?

And still no go with Castlevania?? Funny, haven´t bothered to back track and check, but I could´ve sworn some others have posted that it does work.

Maybe change the launch settings for that particular game. If I can get the game save thing working, and I can find the time, I´d like to check this one out this weekend.

I do like the way this is shaping up. Having everything on hard drive is awesome. As long as it all works that is.

I installed castelvania to wii nand, booted it up, got a game save, then extracted using savegame manager. Then just copied and pasted from SD to USB.

I did read at least one guy saying it worked. But then again I just tried to boot up Dr. Mario Rx(USB), and got and "error has occurred..." message, and I know for sure people have got that one running. IDK... some work fine... others dont. Let me know if you get Castlevania working.

Weird problem... it doesn't happen in other Konami games like Contra Rebirth (NTSC-U).

According to Triiforce Compatibility thread:
http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php?tit...compatability#C
Castlevania Rebirth (NTSC-U) is not working fine with Triiforce.
I also have the same problem: Warning screen -> Konami Logo -> Black screen instead Save/Load feature.

See ya!

as far as default setting go when launching a game from triforce, where is it grabbing these settings from? your real wii nand, or the one on your hd?
HD (the device you used to lauch the nand emulation).

@wixhoxp
I installed your cios 199 and the strangest thing happend with my homebrew channel. It made my pointer upside down. This is the only problem that I have hade with the cios you made everything else is working properly. I uninstalled the wad and reinstalled but still the same problem. Has anyone else including yourself ran into this? Is there any way to fix this? Thanx

thats weird...

try installing a non-fakesigned ios61 [using either 1) dop-ios mod or 2) wad manager +nus downloader (to download and pack the ios61 wad]

then reinstall your homebrew channel

this should fix the upside HBC channel fix, but your the first person I've heard of who's having this problem due to cIOS199 (or any IOS other than a patched IOS36 or 61)... so yea... weird, try the above solution and report back plz

ah, i see. so if the nand backup was set to widescreen, but the actual nand is set to fullscreen, every game that is played via that nand backup will be in widescreen eh?
Exactly. All changes you made in the wii Settings will be dumped in shared2 folder (you only need to change that folder when you make another dump).

See ya!

yeah its just the pointer that is upside down not the channel itself. when I uninstalled the wad it went back to normal but reinstalling it the pointer returned the upside down position.

hmm, not sure if anyone is aware this exists, but there is a mod of this that allows you to select which wads to display. ie, when you pick nes, all it shows is nes, etc etc.

although, I can't seem to get images to load with it.
Oh, that was going to be one of new triiforce mrc features

Glad you liked the idea. Smyers75 suggested it to me and I implemented it as another menu when you load. The end goal was to create a graphical menu to choose the console type you wanted to load games for (much like when you choose a game to play), but to also somehow implement a way to get back to the console selection from within the triiforce menu itself.

I just haven't had any time recently to try to expand on this. If you were going to implement it, right on! I look forward to seeing what you do.

I was running some tests on the different nand dumping methods recently to see if the new SimpleFSDumper 0.42 produced any different results from the decypted BootMii dump. Interestingly enough, I started to have the problem of games not rebooting to the Wii Menu when you quit them.

Hi marc_max

! ...

I made a new version of Triiforce mrc v8 (unofficial version) that works flawlessly under new cIOS199:

Link: [Download DOL file] [Download Channel] [Download sourcecode]

Link: [Download cIOS199]
(Use wad manager for install it)

Now we can install the newest cIOS from Waninkoko (cIOS38 rev16) and have Triiforce mrc fully functional
