B button had some mess in it that prevented it from pressing down. I cleaned that out and it presses fine now, but now the entire system powers on but then shuts off quickly afterward with a pop. I only touched the sd card cable, the 3 orange cables that connect to the motherboard and face button board, and the ribbon connecting the c stick to the face button board. Additionally, the white latch that connects the ribbon cable from the face button board to the motherboard snapped off but I was able to secure the ribbon cable connection in with some electrical tape. I took everything apart and put it back together multiple times to see if it was just a loose connection but nothing has changed.
My system is hacked FYI and I know that the sd card connection is being acknowledged because the shut-off and pop takes longer to happen whenever I have the sd card plugged in. This happened whenever the machine was working as well.
