Make sure you pull them slowly. Check the water levels. After pulling 2 rods from the dynamite the sticks will start to heat up and need to be cooled down with the antibiotic gel.

personally i have never used the gel in this mission, once 2 of the rods are pulled out, i continue to pull out the rods until all are pulled out. I then look at each dynamite and look where the wire it has is connected to. Follow that path until you find the right part of the chip thing and destroy it with the laser... then you dont have to worry about it heating up. If you can move slightly fast you should be fine. I got to the end where you cut the wires in about a minute. (also, i never had to worry about the water)
