Bah. Thanks, at least it's known. It'll suck to skip, but as long as the main story and most other optional activities are safe, I'm fine.

That's my fault. Apparently, the text for the fishing battles in stored in text\t_fish._dt, and not the scena file. My tool doesn't extract that text, so it does fix the file pointers, so the game will crash duing those segments. I'll update the translation tool within a day or so.

Hey, don't mind me. I'm very grateful to anyone responsible for allowing me to check out this game sooner than later. Thank you.

Updated translation tool with fix for fishing duels. You will need to use the new text\t_fish.json file included in the translations file or extract new files just for t_fish.json.

Thank you FrantzX.
Can you look at this topic please:

I have sucessfully got the english texts from the PC version, but I cant handle the PSP texts. Could you help me in this project?

Hi guys.

Check out the Crossbell Translation Tool. He has everything ready for download in nicely formatted json files that you can add translation to very easily and inject very easily. It's what I used to roughly do the quest log. The quest log is rough because it's google translated, but believe me the CTT is set up perfectly to do the job.

That's the tool I've been using and it's always shows me errors whenever I'm extracting or building a new ISO using the provided Json files included

Oh. it looks like I updated the PC/Chinese version and not the PSP/Japanese data files. I'll update them in a minute. Fixed.

I suspect unless FrantzX comes back with some update on any work he's done, as I think he mentioned he'd try to do earlier, this is basically the final version. It works, you can play it to the end, and the main story is mostly spreadsheet and works really well. This is currently the best way to experience the game in english.

What is this spreadsheet i keep hearing about?

I'm planning on doing a re-machine-TL, using FrantzX's tool instead of trying to parse the decompiled script from a python tool.
I have a idea for the tokens: replace the tokens with special characters, and replace the special characters with tokens when re-inserting the script. That way, I can translate block by block instead of line by line, which should make the translation quality higher.

According to flame, 63 chars is the hard max for textboxes. I haven't tested this myself, because I currently don't have the game located on my local storage device right now.
55 = any number of lines
5C/5D = 5 lines max
Portrait = 38 chars/line
Face = 48 chars/line
Neither = 60 chars/line

What is the best machine translation?

For comparison:

Kitsune spreadsheet English:
Well from their point of view a criminal entered their land and now they have to hand over the investigation to outsiders.
So what's the plan?
Just move in?
