Hacking Touch Screen Broke After Using R4

I recently got a R4 revolution, and it's worked well for the past 3 months. However, after playing the 15th day in Lock's Quest, the touch screen bugged, and now the DS thinks I am pressing down on the bottom left of the screen. This makes touch screen games unplayable.

It also happens when the DS doesn't have the R4 inserted, and reconfiguring it doesn't fix anything, as it won't register me pressing it. Also, there is no food lodged in the DS or anything, the touch screen is clear.

Does anyone know how to fix this issue, or is it a fatal DS bricking flaw of the R4?

I would say this has nothing to do with the R4.

Just something broke inside the DS. i have never heard of any R4 Or clone R4 doing this.

I did some googling and found that it's a malfunction that can occur in an early batch of DS's. Not Ds-Lite. I'm gonna try resetting the battery, but it probably isn't to do with the R4, just because I haven't heard of it happenning before.
