I tried to hardmod my New 3DS XL. I didn't do it already, but I wanted to look inside first. After I rebuilt it, the touch doesn't work anymore. I checked all ribbons and put them out and in again... But... Still nothing. Can anyone post a picture of it and tell me which one is the touch ribbon?

It should be a really small, probably gray ribbon connected to the bottom screen assembly

Do I have to take out the motherboard for this?

Some of those ribbon cables can be really flimsy, it sounds like there's probably a tear in one. It can be hard to spot tears in ribbon cables.

And how do I spot them? Do you think GameStop would switch it? They say, they don't take it if it was intention. But it wasn't my intention

Look really closely for any hairline cracks. With a magnifying glass if you have one. I don't know which ribbon cable is the one for touch, but if you take out the motherboard it should be easy to trace the ribbon going from the touchscreen.
Does GameStop buy broken consoles? Even if they do, you would barely get anything for it.
If you mean getting it repaired under warranty, they will just send it to Nintendo's repair center who might be able to tell that it's been opened, and if they do, they will either refuse to repair it or charge a hefty fee. But I guess you have nothing to lose.

i would pack it back up and just return it and tell them that when you got home you turned it on and noticed the touch screen didnt work and that you want a exchange or refund

That was the question. Do they check this, before I get a new one or not?

ok so did you buy it inside a gamestop store or gamestops online website? and just listhen now if the 3ds or 2ds witch ever one it is make sure its put together like normal and just go back to gamestop with reciept and tell them the touch screen didnt work and your pretty upset about it and that you either want a refund or a exchange.. and watch the magic happen

ok and a friend of mine just said even buy the same model and color from walmart and then just swap them out and return it to walmart.. witch i would say if you do that make sure to put the back from the one you get from walmart on the one you will return they do check to see if the serial numbers on console and box match up.

I don't know on the N3DS XL, but on the N3DS, there are literally zero things apparently telling you if a console was opened or not (no warranty stickers over the screws, no glue you have to loosen, nothing like that)

On the N3DS XL aren't any warranty stickers too.
