1. Cooking Mama
2. Warioware
3.Animal Crossing (most recommended)
4.Wii Music
5.Mario 6 Sonic At the Olympic games
6.Boom Blox
7.Carnival games
8.Rayman Raving Rabbits
9.Elebits
10. Super Mario Galaxy (you can help the first player with another wiimote)
11.Endless Ocean (my sisters like it, so I think think you could check it out since it's simple yet beatiful)
12. Wii Sports (of course)
13. Wii Sports resort (comes out in a couple days so probably a must have also)

I forgot about all the licensed games based on cartoon, some might not be very interesting but a game about her favorites cartoon will probably be 10x more fun for her than AAA game.

I don't think it really matters that much, as long as someone plays with her, she'll love it.

Please just let them play any title (well ok maybe not the M rated ones). If I was forced to play games like Carnival games I would have gave up on gaming.

Freddi Fish: Kelp Seed Mystery
Pajama Sam: Don't Fear the Dark
Spy Fox in Dry Cereal

All great games for kids 6+, and designed by Ron Gilbert's (Monkey Island) "point and click adventure games for children" company, Humongous Entertainment. The environment in these games are very interactive to explore. These were the best children's adventure games in the 90s on PC and their release on the Wii makes them available for the next generation of kids.

I highly recommend these titles.

Don't ever recommend Wii music... ugh. I wouldn't wish that game upon my worst enemy.

My brother (9) really love it and I personally enjoy it. Unless you have no sense of rhythm. that is.

I recently played through the remake of Klonoa, and though I found it to be a bit too sugary sweet for my tastes, it's a very good game. I think it has a great vibe for kids about the age you're talking about.

de Blob is probably another good choice. Truly, though, Wii has plenty to offer younger gamers, and that's probably the biggest criticism you hear these days. Check out Metacritic and IGN for more ideas on good games for that age group.
