I burned three bad tags :( I've never burned a custom Amiibo before (aside from Namiio/Datel Powertags) but I think I've been following the directions exactly. I copied the UID using dumpinfo.ino from the RFID library examples, pasted it into the site, and submitted it, an amiibo bin, and key_retail.bin. It gave me hexadecimal binary as expected, and I was able to write it to my NTAG215 stickers I got on Amazon, but my Switch says "This is is not an Amiibo" and refuses to scan it.

I didn't try using the command line script, but I've already wasted three tags and I'm hoping someone else has had success with it and could help me out here.

Don't use the site to generate the password, if you read in the comments on that page you will see it is not working properly. You have to use the script to generate the password. I also burned three bad ones lol, but once I read that I was able to successfully create some clones.

When you run dumpinfo be sure to get the long and short uid, they ARE different. Also, you should probably just be using the automated tool at this point : https://games.kel.mn/amiibo/

I used dumpinfo and pasted the short uid from the "UID" line into https://games.kel.mn/amiibo in order to get the bytes that I stuck into write_amiibo

How hard would it be to port Amiitool and the modification to the Arduino itself? That way you would stick the encryption key and any .bin into the .ino code and it could patch the Amiibo file itself.

Ok, you might need to talk to RubyRoid, I believe he is the publisher. I have never tried the online script, I did it manually following the instructions here: https://games.kel.mn/en/create-amiibo-clones-with-arduino/ and it worked. Are you sure you're using the proper retail key? If so, maybe try the local script: https://games.kel.mn/en/companion-script-to-simplify-amiibo-cloning-with-arduino/ , other than that just do it manually, which I can verify works for sure.

Well maybe I was doing something wrong, because I just tried one more time, after compiling amiitool for OS X to be able to run the local script, and I compared their output seeing they were both the same. Burned that tag, and it worked. I now have a sheik amiibo the size of a quarter.

I used the site only and did the whole zelda set, worked fine, I used the long UID though, not the short one, not sure it makes a difference.

It shouldn't, I tested long and short with the local script and they resulted in the same password, as they should.
