As the title suggests, Netflix has ordered an anime series adaptation of the renowned video game franchise. The Tomb Raider anime series will be set in the universe of the reboot trilogy, following the adventures of Lara Croft and is said to be unrelated to the live-action movies starring Alicia Vikander as the heroine.

Writing for the Tomb Raider anime series will be handled by Tasha Huo, who is known for The Witcher: Blood Origin, the prequel series to The Witcher. Huo will also executive produce the series along with Dmitri M. Johnson (Sonic the Hedgehog), Stephan Bugaj and Howard Bliss.

I've really enjoyed Lara's design from the first series. She is the Lara from my childhood that everyone admired.

But, on the other hand, I was positively surprised with the mechanics and design of the more recent games from the 2010's and they were really good graphic-wise.

I would lie to myself if I said I don't have high expectations when it comes to the quality of this anime.
