Blah, how do I beat the dog battle? I get 2 hits in for every 12 hits that hit my characters.

I keep the healer girl in the party, as well as one of the characters with guns, since it reduces Life Potion usage in most battles. Other than that, I play one of the two people with swords, because if I don't they die sooner than if I had played them. I rarely switch to other characters.

I've tried every combination of characters I can think of, but have yet to get any of the enemies in the dog battle to half health.

The dogs are weak to Earth(Ricardo)/Water(Iria)/Light(Ange) so you should choose one of those characters to focus on spamming their strongest spell type spells (set the style on Wisdom and equip the "Fast Magic" and "Rapid Magic" for fast casting and put some INT boosters too and Cook some Sea food (magic oriented boosts).

If you are using a melee character try to do combos by combining Base+Master+Arcane Artes to do long chains which will prevent the enemy from attacking.

Maybe set your melee characters on Guardian style for extra protection and use strategies.

So after i deliver the lunchbox what do i do next?

P.S. i did not choose to go straight back to guild HQ as i thought there was more to explore of the cave.

Sometimes weapons I found in the guild dungeons were better than the best ones on the market , ex. Before I went into the volcano I got water-infused weapons for Spada, Her and Ange from a rank 3-4 mission which had higher attack than the one in the store.

Best way to get grade and essential for filling the collectors book.

i am doing Guild Quests

also get some nice weapons
i found a weapons that has 110 attack the Mythril Sword, for Luca doing Guild Quests

i am rank 5, just at Naos, after you do the mission in the place West of the town (where you get Ange)

Does anyone have any tips on how to defeat chien?
Styles can affect stats a lot, try defensive style. Make sure to have someone who can heal, have healing the #1 priority. Remember to block and dodge. If you can juggle Chien with a combo don't let him hit the ground and he's helpless. If he turns red, run and start healing with gels.
If all else fails, grind a level and try again.

Boring, but rewarding.

The recipes are nice to have, the strategies are incredibly helpful, and of course if you plan on playing the game through again, taking some stuff over is a must.

Just do a few here and there while you go through the story and they start to add up pretty fast. It starts out slow as hell, but higher ranked guild quests are ridiculously rewarding. Gald and Grade wise.

EDIT: Of course I wouldn't see the 4th page, ahah. Fail.

Switch everyone to defensive style.
Makes people survive a LOT longer, and doesn't really detract from attack much either.

Do NOT use a healer or spellcaster. Chien and the dogs are too fast and never stay focused on a single person, you wont get a spell out. (without luck)

Use their weaknesses to your advantage (I forget what those are right now)

Use food. Food gives you some insane bonuses.

If all else fails, turn it to easy and laugh at how pitiful Chien and his dogs become.

To win Chien put your characters on Guardian Mode, use defensive ans healing strategies and kill the dogs first. After you have killed the dogs go all to attack Chien to dont't let him attack you.

Now iy's my turn for help

I'm at Tenos's ruins and I need you to recommend me what characters resist better the enemies´s attacks or if I need to level up my chars(I'm level 38) because I'm having problems after some cobats.

Thanks

It is possible to somehow warp to the guild dungeon? Its kinda strange that you can teleport back after completing a mission, but you always have to run back.

My party is level 45 and Tenos Ruins is kicking my ass (playing on hard), I noticed the enemies using plenty of Dark/Wind elemental spells so get yourself some gloves/capes.
Perhaps you should set your party on Guardian Style which boost defense and cook some food for even extra defense.

Nope, not possible at all you'll have to live with it, if that bothers you too much just stick to Ashihara when doing Guild Quests since you get there in 2-3 secs

I apparently have no sense of where I should be storyline wise...My characters are at lvl 30 and I just got Ricardo and Ange. I also just found out that autobattle doesn't work for mania level guild rank 3 dungeons (since I wanted to see if I could get exp faster)...Apparently the AI is a lot worse than my button mashing since its fine when I'm battling. Maybe I'll look at the guide and see where to go xD.

None of my characters has fast magic or rapid magic. I don't think Ricardo has an earth spell. I also don't know how to cook.

I try that but they break my chain before I can get the chain going. Even with the speed or whatever added, they're still too slow for Chien and his dogs.

That doesn't help either. It just prolongs the game over by about 3 seconds.

...It looks like everyone who's played ToI is way past me now.

WTF? ... I don't even know where you are either because I don't think this is even possible without major grinding.

@Inunah Tried sniping with Ricardo or Iria and use items to heal? (I did this)

I figured out where I was after beating Chien for the first time and went back to Naos o.0...I was a lot closer to the beginning than I thought -_-"...(I'm not really grinding...I just want to unlock the guild ranks xD, though I didn't know that the Styles only leveled up to 50). I think I left autobattle on when I faced Chien. He killed two of my characters (and I took out one dog) and then the Ricardo AI took care of the rest (at least he is a bit smarter).
Just wondering, but is the Awakening bar in the menu serve as just a game progress thing?

I'm not way ahead of you xD (though I'm still ahead by a cutscene or two).
