Hi guys,

I have an O3DS with Rxtools 10.5 emunand
i can't get some recent games (fire emblem ...) to work
it says "this CIA is invalid"
It is not a problem with the file because i tried many.

Anyone knows what the problem is ?

Thank you

"This CIA is invalid" usually happened from installing broken file.

1) Do not use resume downloading or multithread downloading. They always cause file error.
2) Use high quality SD readers. Low quality SD readers can cause file error either.
3) Ask the ISO site's releasers (or homebrew releasers) to provide 7Zip/RAR with recovery instead of CIA.

Try a different cia installer, bigbluemenu is old & outdated now & does throw out errors sometimes. Get the latest version of devmenu which is 11.4, you can find it in the homebrew section on the Chaos site

Isn't there a way to transfer the game directly without having to install it via a cia manager ?

There are some programs you can use together with FBI to transfer files via wifi to your 3ds. I know of SocketPunch and FalconPuncher.

You still use a cia manager which is FBI but you don't need to store them on your memory, thus saving space to install more games.

This is probably the only guide you'll need: https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki
If you aren't interested in Arm9LoaderHax, stop at the end of Part 3. Be sure to read all the introduction stuff so you'll be better informed about the basics ^^

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
