FXPAK "clone" from Aliexpress. I say clone as the firmware is open source, the board was open source till rev f, is it really a clone if you take board and update it or make your own board based on it? Who knows, but it seems to be a big argument elsewhere, I don't give a shit, I'm not paying £180 (potentially over £200 if it gets done for VAT and Duty) for something I will infrequently use.
Anyway this is a rev z from a seller I saw recommended on reddit with the Cyclone IV fpga. Rev Z does seem to incorporate the latest fixes. Don't take my word for it, but it does appear to have the 1chip fix (extra inductor connected to the same pin as the diy fix) and seemed fine on my 1chip and MSU 1 audio seemed fine.
Everything seems to be working fine, tested all the enhancement games + the MSU1 game they give. Only negative would be it came with a duff 2032, I've had bad ones of them right out the packet as well, so not a big deal. Quick change was needed, did have a little blob of hot glue on the battery, I guess to stop it coming loose during shipping, annoying, but not a massive issue when changing it.
That weird pattern on the mini is just a light reflection, it's not damage, it's still in pretty good condition.
Also the joys of near 30 year old hardware. Testing with original carts to start with, no power at all. Then got power, but black screen, cleaned the carts, then was good, but the controller wasn't working, so I had to grab another controller, then I was finally ready to test the Aliexpress cart.
