Personally, I'm amazed people raised money doing just this.

Maybe I should start a charity to bamboozle people out of there money in this same way.

Yeah you're right. I might as well walk into St. Jude's right now and rob them of their money. Nothing says "bamboozling people out of their money" like wasting it on children inflicted with life crippling illness.

+1 to these guys. Although what happens if they have a power outage...

Read about this on SA the other day, and I'll say here what I said there, this is extremely dull, who would waste their time with this?

They beat FF1 pretty quickly, then they spent ages on FF2, which was roughly the same length in terms of gametime.

They're not even giving good commentary, they're just replying and repeating shit that's in the chat. How could anybody watch it and be entertained?

No, you misinterpretted it. I meant how they're doing it. I'm glad they're raising money for that cause, but I honestly wouldn't think it would be able to work that way.

Well, when you've got people who post it on relatively large forum sites (such as the kind gentleman who posted this), it can be rather large. And there's been a lot weirder ways of raising money for charity. Regarldess, if they raised $1 or $100,000 for charity, they still raised money.

Yeah, I guess it all depends on what kind of crowd you target.

By the way, isn't FF XI an online game?

It was. Although they'll probably just go through the storyline, since most MMORPGs have a central storyline that ends in a decent time and then a bunch of grinding/PvP aspects. And I doubt many people play it anymore since its a PS2 game.

It's also on the PC and Xbox 360.

It's also incredibly hard to play solo.

My favourite charity event is still the desert bus for hope.

Still, an autism charity? Interesting choice.
Didn't they just do Mario 64, Sunshine and Galaxy+2nd game?

They do this all the time for various charities. And its not like they only play games the whole time. One person is playing at once, while the rest are doing something stupid usually. Like eating spoonfulls of vegimite and almost barfing.....
