Those keys that are in all those NFOs should be called disc title key I guess.

The disc title key is directly used to decrypt the system and update partition of a game disc.
Within the system partition are the cert/tmd/ticket, within the ticket is the encrypted title key for the game partition.
You need the Wii U common key to decrypt the title key.
With the resulting decrypted title key you can then decrypt the game data.

So, there's no chance in hell this will ever be revealed publicly?

Well, not unless you want to get shitlisted by hackers.

Incidentally if no other developments happen the keys will probably be released in the far future in the name of preservation, if not anything else. Otherwise you're just letting games get lost forever.

So...pretty much, we'll never be able to mod Wii U games or extract their contents, due to the shitlisting some of these elitist, illuminati Dungeon Master hackers are wont to do. Well, that's a bunch of bollocks. Summary: Wii U ISOs will never be allowed for the public to mod. Gotcha.

Well, there's another nail in the Wii U hacking scene's proverbial coffin. Why bother having this thread at all, if all is being talked about is something others never get to do? Just because? Hacking scenes are not without their bullshit because of these misbegotten mentalities.

ISOs are useless with a kernel exploit, you can obtain the files just as easily, and load them too. It's the reason we're making one in the first place. I don't like all the shitposting going on because people are misinformed.

Well then, I'll just need to shut my festering gob about it since....never mind....:(

If people are misinformed, it's because the people who aren't aren't saying anything or aren't being clear enough. I don't want to load ISOs, but I want to examine the 3D models in Hyrule Warriors.

Oh, but then you'll contribute to fulfilling hackers' fears of ISO images being distributed.../sarcasm
The whole thing is bullshit, they see extract a game's assets as criminal, apparently.

I'm sure ISO loading will come, but there seems to be less hackers/programmers interested in the system than the 3ds/vita/ps4.

It's partly because there's been no way to do anything custom the entire time and everything's been kept a secret. 3DS has had Gateway for most of it's existence. Even if only an ODE came out, it would boost interest (or so I would think).

3rd party support is basically dead on the Wii U, but it have some of the nicest games. Nintendo should release alot more games, even an ODE wouldn't help sales at this point.. I hope Nintendo gets this sorted on the Wii U lmao.

We're not denying the proof, as SSB's soundtrack's already been ripped (AFAIK) the trouble is, it's gonna be a long time before it can be publicly done due to some kind of piracy-fearing bullshit. Sort of a neener-neener mentality that some have.

not exactly crediar is gonna upload it very soon :3

Uh, is that what he was being subtle about in his recent post?

he pretty much said it on the hcs64 forum
I didn't buy Smash yet and here it comes out on the 28th.

I can only get the files from NUS when I know the title ID and this time around they are just assigned in order of requests so i.e.
MK8 is using 000500001010EC00
HW is using 000500001017D900

If there is a scene release I can just look at it and get the title ID.

The other method is capturing packets while downloading stuff from NUS since the content files are not downloaded using SSL.

That sneaky devil he is :creep: :P Most excellent.

What am I not understanding? How do you get the title ID exactly? Are we any closer to everyone being able to decrypt ISOs?

No, and we probably never will be since nobody cares about developing another IOSU exploit to dump the keys needed, so unless someone decides to leak it's not happening any time soon.
