actually it all depends on which if you're using sakura or touchpod. Sakura has a small amount of themes available online and most of them are hosted here on GBATEMP. However if you're using touchpod there are several user made themes available at ndsthemes.com. I've got about 4 or 5 themes I made myself on that site for touchpod...you can see my themes by going here: RchUncleSkeleton's NDS Themes.

    you could get a version with no cores installed, be small, then install only few cores. But if you low on storage on the stick, I wouldnt bother with retroarch, just install the stand alone emulators you want
