Because the green/blue icon is the new edge while the other is the defunked old unsupported one
The old icon will open the new one by default and the old one isn't in the installed apps list

Yes Windows is a great 30 year old "New Technology" operating system that uses too much system resources reducing their lifespan and also likes to completely break down without giving you a proper explanation
