These tiny nozzles need to come in already

Has anyone tried playing online with ROMs? I can't imagine that Nintendo would ban you for doing that.
I haven't tried but, if you've made a full dump of the game you own AND you're 100% sure no one else dumped it (i.e. you bought it new or used from a trusted source), you should be safe playing online.

Are you planning on releasing the print files for these as well? I would love to put my 3d printer to the test and try and print these in different colors with my printer.
I will be. I’m currently just waiting on microswiss to restock their 0.2 flowtexh nozzles since 0.4mm is “just” too big to print these tiny shells properly

now it does work if you lower the layer line count but it looks hella ugly and I honestly would not trust all the extra gaps to not get stuck on something in the reader

TLDR: release soon, but you will want a fine nozzle or resin printer for it

The dumper shell is ezpz to do with 0.4mm tho!

How do yall think the switch would like a metal cartridge? Im low key thinking sending this cad file to PCB way for machining

Just for shits and gigs so I can match my backplate and Joycons
I'd be concerned with accidentally bridging connections and shorting something out, but I've also never torn down one of these cart readers, so there's that.

Also, I ordered a MIGSwitch through their site in like January or something, and still have not recieved it. I knew there were delays and such, but I feel like I probably should've gotten it by now. Is this still the case for lots of people, or should I try to contact them?

Uhmmm....so China has been mass producing copies of the MIG... and it appears they are also sharing a cloud link to a list of all popular and recent games.... for what appears to be c$105 (my guess is Canadian dollars).... $77 usd seems like a good revised price to me.

Maybe you should just buy a China version...might get it sooner.

I'm still waiting on UnlockSwitch to see whether they are really better than MIG Switch before I purchase either one of them. They've promised a lot and showed some pretty decent stuff so far and they've recently sent out some of their carts to the reviewers and testers so hopefully we'll see a release from them soon.

No button ver.

Two buttons would be better, so you could go backwards and forwards.

At this point, why not just add a flex cable to the cart and attach a small lcd touchscreen to the back of the switch, this way you can pick the game you want to launch?! LOL 😆
In my opinion, the single button is a good idea.

You can go backwards with the MigSwitch v2 as well. Short press for forward, long press for backward

I've been playing online. All of my ROMs are my own legitimate dumps. In theory as long as you only use your own legitimate backups, there shouldn't be a ban risk but we'll have to see long term.

I don't think that's a "china version". It's more like a bunch of opportunistic folks in China gobbled up nearly all of the initial supply of MIGs to resell on Alibaba at a higher price. That would probably explain why nearly all the "official" sellers were having great difficulty fulfilling their orders while Alibaba resellers had seemingly an endless supply. Now that the official sellers are finally getting stock (probably second wave of production), alibaba resellers got to lower their prices.

Official sellers are still playing games

Migswitch.store is now claiming there is a screw shortage causing delays lmao

Because it’s so hard to find m3x3 screws
