You've probably heard the Super Mario Bros. theme song (or Overworld theme) plenty of times before, but did you know it had lyrics? They aren't of an official origin, but they've become semi-official. Let me explain.
Some time after the game's 1985 debut, a Japanese radio station asked fans to submit their vision of what the song's lyrics would be like. Nintendo heard these submissions and liked one of them so much that they've recorded the song officially and released it on vinyl.
