The R4 v1.08 will have a Cheat Function!

As of the latest release, there appears to be 275 games supported with AR Codes?In other words, about 1/3 of the DS games would have AR built in.

We'll take Mario Kart DS as an example:

See? There are over 200 Codes, which you can choose which one to use.

The Final Build should support Cheat Function fairly well. I think R4 is the first Slot-1 to do this? This is open for discussion. The only bad thing is that I don't think you can input your own codes, and use only the ones built in. Maybe there would be at least XML support in the final build?

Would be pretty dumb if it didn't, else for cheats for each new game you would have to get a new firmware upgrade. :7
On NinjaDS they have 3 xml files with all the cheats in it, and I suppose they use the same system, cause the xml content of the mkds game in it looks the same as the list of cheats:

Yeah. I mean, the R4 Team wouldn't want to constantly update the kernel for this, so that's why I think that the official release would have at least XML support.

It depends on how the R4 Kernel handles the codes. If it can really emulate AR then it would work. If it simply patches the game then it wouldn't. Who knows?

to use the cheat function when you go to a game on the R4 menu before you load just press y and it brings up the cheat menu with all the cheats for that game...........sudeki300
