That tracks, arcade machines are €2-3 a pop here. Not that many people playing them any more, but the price increase matches.

Here it's like, $100 US for like 300-500 credits and machines are like 2-7 credits a play. They very slowly ramp up the decimal number so you don't notice the increase.

I had to look into that. The plaintiffs aren't suing over the design of brainrots, they are suing because the defendant's game is more or less a 1:1 copy of their game. Bringing up individual brainrot designs is just the defendant trying to derail the proceedings with bullshit claims.

Roblox owns the rights to their character designs (the blocky guys) and templates, and they get to keep all your art assets forever, but they don't own the rights to game design and unique concepts and mechanics.
 
Problem with this analogy is there's no single publisher for music and movies. Ever maker creates their own releases, and no platform takes a cut from it. The closest for have would be games companies printing their own dvds and Blu-rays for their games on pc and selling that, instead of publishing to Steam.
