M3 Sakura won't load NDS files for me, is anyone else having this problem and how might I be able to resolve this.
first of all, are you using a M3Real or something else? 2nd, download the firmware from the official site and copy it to your microsd
I am using a M3DS Real and I have already copied the SYSTEM files to my SD card, from the official website. It will load a game 70% of the time, so in order to play a game I generally have to reset my DS about 10 times and select the game about 10 times. When it doesn't work it goes straight to a black screen, it does not show the Loading... screen when it fails to load.
It depends on your Micro SD card (what kind is it if you don't mind? ie Kingston, 8GB)
All games are compatible but some don't work (What game are you trying?)

Well I've been trying a number of games, they all work if I repeatedly try to load them. I am using a Kingston 2gb.

Try this:
1) Format you SD Micro
2) Download this: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=4808
3) Place the system folder on your new formatted SD Micro
4) Place your NDS folder in the same area as the system (Root)

If you still have issue, make sure you have clean roms of the games you trying out. It could be that wherever you are getting your games from are all bad dumps, try another website.

If this fails, you could just have a bad MicroSD.
You can buy a Kingston Micro SDHC 4GB for $7:

or a 8GB for $14:

M3Adapter doesn't have any information about it. Where do they usually post changelogs for Sakura?

has anyone try 1.40?
it should have the same compatibility of touchpod but "made in ore" still doesn't work.

on the first screen it says 1.35 version :|

Ok... so now when you load a video, if you touch the bar at the bottom of the screen, the bottom screen shows the video as well as the top instead of fading to black like it did in 1.35 and all the others. How can I change this so the bottom screen fades to black?

try push Select ?..there's a new function added for 1.40 when watching video, push Select to change something

After messing around with it a little, I figured out what you mean. I was expecting a menu to pop out, but now I see that it just changes it during playback. Thanks!

I like the option to have the top screen have the video inverted. Good for sharing videos with someone from across the table.

should i reformat my m3real and then try it again
thanks

Hey Densetsu, you might want to update the FAQ in a few aspects:

1. Add a question explaining how to apply skins, alot of people ask questions of how to apply skins in this forum.
2. Change the questions that include the version number from 1.35 to 1.40.
3. 1 year anniversary of this FAQ!

1. Good point...I'll add that question. There's actually a lot of questions I want to add to the first post, but I have a lot of things on my plate at this time and I'll be really busy until the end of July. But I'll add the question about applying skins, thanks for the suggestion!
2. That will be an easy fix

3. OMG you're right! I didn't even notice that!

Which reminds me...this question is directed at anyone who knows the answer:

Has the problem with "B" codes been fixed in 1.40? I loaned my DS to a friend because I just don't have the time to touch video games any more, so I can't test it

I'm only asking because I want to know if the "known bugs" needs any revision.

QUOTE(dsrules @ Jun 6 2009, 07:28 AM) it should say 1.40 when you boot it ..where did you download your firmware from???

next time get it from the official site if you're not
http://www.handheldsources.com/M3DS/Download_M3DSR.html

I get that too. And I downloaded from: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=4808 (from the first page in this topic, the dual-boot download).

It says M3 Sakura 1.40 for a split second on the bottom of the screen when I power up my DS, but during the "memory test" it still says M3 Sakura Firmware 1.35 on the top of the screen. Anyone know why?

EDIT:
Tried this one as well: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=6123
It says the same thing. I guess it's a typo or something, but it would be great if someone could verify this.
