I can't read Chinese, but if the machine translations are even close... the new Chinese version is buggy, and basically it's release was/is a public beta, and a "final" version will be released in the beginning of January. I hoped for an early US/EU "test" release too, but no mention... so far.

How does one get the sound effects in the Super Smash Bros. Brawl skin to work? I transfered the whole foulder to my M3, and the wallpaper activated, but not the sound effects, I still get the normal ones.

You have to copy all 6 .ttb files to the "SYSTEM\m3sakura\sndeff" folder of your card and overwrite the original ones.

M3 website is updated with the following news: http://www.m3adapter.com/News_Events.htm
M3Sakura OS with RTS built-in is a great news

will add here although the new side slot micro sd is innovative and distinguishes it from the fakes ...it may become a pita taking the whole ds card out to change/add/remove new games

For me, the problem tends to be the opposite: I accidentally keep tugging the MicroSD card out of the Flashcart unless the MicroSD is on the side. So this new development appeals very much to me.

The side-loading feature was actually announced a while back somewhere. I suppose it's for the purpose of stealth (so you don't have an obvious MicroSD slot that screams to the world "Oh hi I'm playing pirated games!"), though I think another reason might be that if the spring-loading mechanism breaks for any reason, having the MicroSD in that position means it will still be held inside the cart rather than popping out.

And I like the "It's majorly cool, isn't it?". Lol.

I prefer having my microSD loaded from the top, that way I can take it out without removing the whole cart from NDS!

But, as long as they release Sakura english, I don't mind where is microSD supposed to be inserted!

You can stop watching film and music at any time even in Games.
So is an in-game media player planned for the new version as well or am I misreading this?

That's how I interpreted it when I saw it. I hope that's the case because if it is, this means that there should be no reason why they can't implement an in-game text reader as well.

I actually interpreted it a bit differently:

I think it means that RTS will allow you to stop playing music, watch movie or even play a game, at any given time, and continue it from the very same point that you stopped..

I don't think it'll have in-game-multimedia..(It's been stated that it is impossible to play mp3 wile playing a game, NDS doesn't have enough power, it even lags when you play music, and browse trough the cart with Sakura)

aND..when is supossed to be released the official english ¨ brand new M3SAKURA System¨????? Maybe it's only for the Side insert design for M3DS Real

Nah, new design is just that, nothing more..Cart itself will remain the same in functionality..
And there is no official date yet, but I'm guessing very soon, because today was first official announcement that M3 Team released any info considering english version of Sakura..

With resumption function you can stop watching film and music at any time even in Games. The system can save all the data before the console is shut down and resume it when the console is turned on again
Will this be an improvement of the current RTS function?

Nothing to do with RTS. It's when you're watching a movie or listening to some music, if you turn the DS off, when you turn the DS on it starts playing your media file where you left off.

Also, I'm not sure why everyone is complaining you have to take your cart all the way out to get to the MicroSD with this side-loading design. From the look of it you only need to slide it out half-way.

The resumption feature is already a part of Sakura. It only kicks in when the system is powered off during media playback. When the system is cut back on it automatically resumes from where you where in the song or video playing. I'm guessing now it's going to have a button of sorts so the user can activate it at anytime. So you will be able to activate it before booting a game and then use in-game RTS + soft-reset to get back to the Sakura firmware and continue playing your media. Load your RTS and you can continue playing the game.

Quite a clever way to make the product look more interesting by bundling current features and calling it a new one. Well, assuming I'm correct on how they implemented it. I still can't wait to see this new release. Ahtin was right, M3 are always late.

Actually they are writing that article as an introduction to Sakura (Sakura hasn't been released officially in English yet), so the resume media feature is a "new" feature for someone who hasn't used Sakura before.
