Still downloading it, dunno with my connection but the download rate is horrible. Anyway, reading the translation document the english translation file was made by Densetsu3000?!

hrmm, weird. when mine FINALLY finished downloading it was just the M3 Sakura DSM Movie Encoder. Arggggggg!

It looks like one, but there are M3Sakura system hidden in it. Run it and and click on "Setup Sakura" (or you can just copy the "SYSTEM" folder from your installation directory. Good luck...

EDIT:
- The homebrew compatibility is still bad, but it's better than 1.12+1 (I can start ComicBookDS but booting Anguna and TetrisGM will only produce 2 white screens).
- Like the new fonts better than the old ones. Old Skaura skinning still works like Densetsu3000 said.
- A question: How can I return to the file launcher once I quit it? Pressing SELECT now does nothing whatsoever.

Hmmm, I'm in New York now and I left my US/EUR M3 Real back in California, so I can't check it out myself. I noticed that the DSM encoder installation file said that this was a beta release, so maybe it'll be fixed in an official (as in, non-beta) release. Pressing SELECT on the Japanese version works for me.

I'm thinking the M3 team released it as beta to shut us up and buy time for the final release

thanks guys, I already fig'd it out tho, lol. sneaky m3 team! well, I must say I'm sort of disappointed after all that waiting and trying to hack the region lock. It still doesn't run most of my homebrew, and my favorite skin works (chaosblack), but the text on the cheat menu is black on black so I can't read it. I've tried contacting the the author of that skin and asking him nicely for his source files, but it would appear that he doesn't come come around here anymore so... ON the bright side though, it does load relatively quick and runs pretty smoothly compared the the 1.12 releases.

But is there some features being disabled or not available in the beta version, maybe like RTS?

what the heck is a msi file? do I have just have to put that file onto my card? or is it some kind of windows installer package? because I have a mac...

Well, according to illithid, the file launcher doesn't come up when you press SELECT. I haven't been able to verify this because I don't have access to my US/EUR M3 Real. But on the Japanese Sakura 1.34, pressing SELECT does take you to the file launcher.

How do you get this to run? It put the SYSTEM folder on the root of my mSD card but when I turn the DS on the M3 DS Real logo appears for a very short time, afterwards the screen stays black.

Its a windows installer file (that can be run with wine, "$ wine msiexec /i msifile.msi")
I believe linfoxdomain zips the system files so you dont have to install the encoder in order to use it.

So what do you think about "Beta Edition for translating", will you help them using your translation?
I've opened message.000 file, do you see any difference with your own version?
