London, 13 March 2014: The Last Of Us(TM), the critically acclaimed post-apocalyptic survival game reaped the biggest rewards at last night's British Academy Games Awards. The magnum opus from Santa Monica based Naughty Dog collected the Best Game, Story, Audio Achievement, Action and Adventure and Performer Awards at the award ceremony hosted by Dara O'Briain at London's Tobacco Wharf.
Originally released worldwide on June 14th, exclusively on PlayStation, The Last of Us follows the story of Joel and Ellie as they struggle to survive an environment 20 years after a pandemic wipes out civilization as we know it. By combining a gripping storyline with action, adventure and a truly immersive post-apocalyptic environment, developer Naughty Dog has created a world where survival is at the heart of every decision in the game

The Last of Us had previously led the British Academy Games Awards nominations with a total of ten nominations, going into last night's ceremony at London's Tobacco Wharf. The PlayStation exclusive masterpiece walked off in the end with five awards including the most prestigious award of the evening, Best Game 2014.

Neil Druckmann, Creative Director for Naughty Dog, said "It is a very great honour to be recognised by the Academy with such prestigious accolades. Leading the nominations in the company of such hallowed fellow nominees was both gratifying and humbling. But for The Last of Us to actually walk away with five awards on the night felt incredible. Thank you so much to everyone who voted - the whole team is delighted!"

Bruce Straley, Game Director on The Last of Us, was present at the event to witness The Last of Us also win the Audio Achievement Award. "As games become more sophisticated in terms of graphical fidelity, so the audio component becomes an integral and critical part of the experience. For our contribution to be recognised by the British Academy of Film and Television Awards is the highest acknowledgment of this and a very great honour."

Tearaway also picked up 3 awards:
Picking up awards for Artistic Achievement, Family and Mobile & Handheld, Media Molecule's Tearaway challenges players to navigate their way through a beautiful paper world, interacting with the environment using innovative touchscreen mechanics on the PS Vita system.

When are we going to hear the last of it?
Sorry :P
I don't much care for the game, I've had enough of games/films/everything with zombies at the moment...

Now about that PS4 port.
I'm willing to double dip, Naughty Dog!
EDIT: Tearaway too? Amazing game, everyone with a Vita should pick it up.

I wasn't all that impressed with the game myself, but I'm glad others have enjoyed it. For me the gameplay felt pretty shallow/arbitrary (most of the stealth sequences were more like scripted one-solution puzzles with AI that would conveniently be blind if you stand directly in front of their vision), and the story was pastiche, waving flags like an Old English play, one saying AND HERE FEEL SADNESS and another AND HERE KNOW FEAR, more than evoking these emotions on a more natural level.

When I worked for Dell we had access to data about military contracts and addresses for high ranking people.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
