GCN The Gamecube Fusion

Just wanted to give this some extra attention.

Ashen, has made the first(?) portable cube without a disc drive.
The cube has it's disk drive removed and a WiiKey Fusion soldered on it.
It even has an extra port for player 2.

I watched one evening a small pile of different builds of a portable gamecube.

This by far is most pleasing to eye, and efficient as it has no reader sticking out. Nobody has come up with good COVERED reader.

Too bad that while this is good, it has too small of a internal memory card (should be at least 1000 blocks) and playing legal backups would be hard (you'd need to download the game you own as making a backup would need extra hardware you may not have)

Still, would hit it. Nice design, though I am more of fan using the original buttons and layout on controller.

YES, he actually describes the style of battery he has to use on it I think.

Gamecube is very popular in general hardware modding community it seems, and many people have custom made their own portable systems. with screen and battery power.

I would honestly shed out $1000 for this. Unless Paper Mario TTYD is re-released on 3DS. But my hopes aren't high that will happen.
