What about emulators, do they have to run off SD card? I want to put everything on my 500GB External USB, I have 2 separate fat32 partitions on it one for legacy roms and other is for wii u roms. would that work or should i go searching for a large sd card for legacy roms

Everything on the Wii U side runs off of SD, everything on vWii side can run off both HDD and SD. Check the Definitive vWii hacking guide if that's what you're looking for

Do I still need to buy smash brothers for this jailbreak to run games on a external usb hd

I think he means the Brazilian USB ticket trick.

@doomsdayzzz, you don't need SSB to install games to USB, but I've heard that VC games have a device-specific ID or something, so you'd probably still need an SD card and Loadiine for those. Also I'm not sure if you can just reformat one partition to be compatible with the Wii U.. it might have to be the entire thing.

Note: this is why there is no guide/tutorial in this thread on that subject, there are still far too many unknowns.

As of right now you cannot use one hdd for wiiu and vwii - the wiiu will format your entire hdd. There was talk of a possible workaround, but right now it's just talk.

how easy to hack a wiiU to play WiiU backups?
i don't have a WiiU,but my friends has one and they are asking me to hack their Wiiu because i am the only geek in the group that know how to hack stuff.

It's painfullly easy - especially if you're content to play them from an sd card via loadiine.

Loadiine plays from SD and cannot go online. It just uses the game files that are either extracted from a wud (wiiu disc image) or dumped with ddd. With this you can play physical releases, eshop titles and non-legit dlc.

The Brazilian method plays from HDD and can go online. You have to install titles downloaded from NUS. This requires a ticket dumped from a wud or dumped using wupserver. With this you can ONLY play titles that were released as physical games AND eshop titles + legit dlc.

Okay, so recently I got a 64 GB micro SD Card. I used to use a regular 4 GB SDHC Card. The SDHC always works, but when I copied everything from the SDHC to the SDXC, I got the FSMountSourceFailed screen on the Wii U. I'm using loadiine.ovh and the SDXC is NTFS. How do I fix this?

The Windows SD formater only let me format it to either exFAT or NTFS. Is there any other software that formats SDXC cards to FAT32?

Update: I found an app called FAt32Formater, but when it gets to "Partitioning...", it fails.

Thanks, how to use the second one?
I still don't have a WiiU.
The second method is like funckycia or freeshop on 3DS?

Any other ways?
Use free partition magic program or something like that.
There is many program that can change format the drive the way you want.
