I haven't seen anyone complain about the little blue LED on the 3DS that tells you it's on, off, or sleeping.

Am I the only person to find it incredibly bright?
I have to turn my 3DS off in order to sleep because of it.

Doesn't it go less bright when you turn down the brightness level of the screen, just like with the DSi?
I keep mine on level 2 + power saver.

Tried it anyway and I didn't see a difference, but if there was one it was tiny.

At this point I'd like homebrew like the wii disc light just to turn it off.
I know when it's on or not, I don't need a light.

How far do you keep it from your face when you sleep... ??? if it keeps you awake turn it 180 degrees so it faces away from you. Mine is not that bright not sure how bright your one is to keep you awake.

Its not bright for me
I have the yellow/orange/blue light on at night all the time
(wireless/Charge/Switched ON)

It is bright for me and I'm not really close to it at all. I have to face it against a wall because the blue light illuminates my room at night if I don't.

Not to sound rude, but cant you just cover it up? Place it inside a bag, put a cloth over it, place it somewhere you dont see the light. Personally i turn it off and let it charge overnight but where i put it is impossible for me to see the lights from my bed.

It wouldn't be too bright for me at all since I've had a much brighter blue LED on my phone's cradle that basicly lit up the whole room at night. Sadly that LED just died this week and now I'm very annoyed by the 3DS's pulsing. If it just stayed at one brightness level I'd be very fine with it but like that it really annoys me.

Solutions:

>Upside-down
>Something placed on top ie. game case, book, bit of paper.
>Make sure it's not reflecting off of any white walls.
>Actually turn it off rather than leaving it on/sleep.
>Place somewhere hidden ie. under your bed, in a cupboard/wardrobe.
>Close your eyes (jks)

When I turn it away from me, the blue light illuminates the entire room in a blue glow.
Slightly worse.
I had the same problem with my pc light (not when sleeping, but when at the computer it would burn~~ so ductaped it.)
It would be nice to be able to turn lights like these off in the menus, like softmods allowed on the wii.
This thread isn't really complaining, just wondering if I was alone.

Blue LEDs suck.

My room is full of LEDs anyway so I never noticed.

I have always have on LEDs from 2 routers, 3DS, mobile phone, PS3, Wii, TV, computer, razor, 2 netbooks, a laptop and several power adapters... it's like christmas all year round in here

As I said it's not a complaint. Just was wondering if it was actually bright or if my eyes were broken.

I love the Blue Light. But it's hard to play in the middle of the night while my whole blanket that covers me from head to toe glows.

I can agree with you, at least when it comes to the first days after buying the 3DS.
The very first night that I left it turned on it was bugging me aswell, I was able to notice the difference of light in my room through my closed eyes.
After opening them I recognized it was the 3DS and was really surprised that the light is that bright but after some time you get used to it, not it doesn't bother me at all.
