I wonder... do people actually take time to read a company's Terms and Conditions before they agree to register/order/etc to their services?

To tell the truth, i never do...

But in some cases if i find the website to be dodgy i would made an exception.

What do you do?

I have read the TOS for almost everything basic atleast once. Meaning I read a Yahoo Game TOS once even though I have more than one of there games. I read a gaming Forum TOS once, I dont need to read everyword of every gaming forum again. They're all practically the same. I did read GBATemp but theres isn't long really and I read fast.

I voted yes.

I'm too young to be scammed into anything. Once I turn 18 and get a credit card, I'll be sure to read all my contracts for the terms and conditions.

I voted yes and no.

Mostly I don't pay much attention unless it's like a company giving freebies or competitions where I try to find the catch or basically things that seem too good to be true.

Usually don't read them except small fishy sites.

But when terms and conditions change, I make sure I read them.
(Like I read the PSN T&C when it changed so my wallet and purchased games don't get harmed in any way =P)

same here.
I voted yes, because I almost read them all on shoping site and where I give true personal information.
I'm also reading information regarding insurance, delivery and refund process.

I also read nintendo website sign-up condition, and I do not agree and never registered there.
(they are giving personal data's to other companies and they are specifying "be aware that when your data will be on another country, your personnal privacy will means nothing to us")
same as linking the Wii account to a nintendo account.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
