Christmas Day is upon us, and with it the results of our Tempmas Card contest! The competition was fierce, but after much consideration the Tempmas Council of Elves and Father Tempmas finally came up with a list of winners:

Now, it's time to introduce a new event, generously sponsored by our Patron @NicoAICP who kindly provided Steam codes for a variety of Sonic video games - a treat for whole 11 lucky Tempters, in addition to 1 point towards the Tempmas tally! We were inspired by the selection of games on offer, as well as the recent releases of Mario and Sonic at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games and Team Sonic Racing, the latter of which we've reviewed in our Review Center, and we came up with a unique quiz. The rules are very simple - send in your answers via a PM titled "Tempmas Event 4" to our helpful @TempmasElf - sounds easy? Now, here's the catch! We'll be going through the responses in order, so the faster you are the better! 11 lucky winners will get to choose one of these Steam games each:

Your list doesn't have to include all of the unlockable Guest characters, just the main roster.
4. The plot of Team Sonic Racing revolves around a revolutionary new engine technology designed by Dodon Pa - what is the engine powered by?
5. We all know that Sonic can only unlock his true potential by collecting all of the Chaos Emeralds - there's 7 of them, but that wasn't always the case. How many Chaos Emeralds were originally featured in Sonic the Hedgehog?

Oh, this was explained at the start of Tempmas. Everyone who participates in our events collects points which translate to higher chances of winning the final raffle. Say, you have three points total, so three numbers on the big Tempmas wheel represent you. We'll spin the wheel three times, and if it lands on your name, you're the big winner. Every player is eligible to win one small event prize (like the games here) and one big prize, so the more you play, the more you can win.

EDIT: Actually, since the winners are already announced, there's no harm posting them here as well:

1. Sonic's biggest weakness is that he can't swim! It's a good thing the floor is always, coincidentally, cracked. Bubbles!
2. The first Sonic game specifically oriented around racing was Sonic Drift, released on the Game Gear in 1994. Sonic's been driving almost as long as he's been running!
3. The main roster features 4 "Fast" characters besides Sonic - Daisy, Yoshi, Shadow and Metal Sonic. There are also 3 Guest characters classified as "Fast" - Zazz, Toadette and Jet, but mentioning them was optional.
4. Dodon Pa's miraculous engine is powered by Ultimate Energy, which is effectively energy generated by great teamwork - a team is always stronger together!
5. Originally Sonic had to collect 6 Chaos Emeralds, but he only went Super Sonic after the 7th was introduced. Whoosh!
