Send me 80 USD and I'll give you a picture of a goat.

In all honesty, Why not search for 2nd hand limited edition games?

Android Mini PC for your TV from DX. You can get a quad core one with 2GB's of RAM and enjoy all kinds of neat things on your TV.

Actually just shop around on DX 80 bucks can buy you like 30-40 things if you stick with the super cheap junk lol

I wouldn't get a TV box from DX, and I wouldn't go any lower than a RK3288 chipset.
Currently the TV box in my eye is $150.

Either save it or spend it on some games.
In all honesty, these days nearly everything I do involves video games in some way except for actually playing them. Playing games account for like 5% of my time. I'd rather buy a game soundtrack than an actual game, and I'd never spend more than $26 on music, and all the best CD's are much more

That RK3288 is super nice, I hope JXD upgrades the 7800B to something with that in it. (Uses the 3188 right now I think.)

Out of curiosity to see what was out right now.... lol

I found this one, you think it's any good?

http://dealsprime.com/ugoos-ut3-android-4-4-mini-pc-quad-core-rk3288-1-8ghz-bt-tv-box.html

At 130 bucks it's almost at my impulse buy price.

Right now the only two or three TV boxes with the RK3288 are around, Ugoos being one of them. I'd say 1st invest atleast 20-30 minutes of your time in that device's forums if they exist.
The Wifi and actual software performance would be my main focus, If you have atleast a RK3288, then you're set on CPU and GPU performance and RAM is an afterthought on Android, you only need 1GB, but its always nice to have 2GB. Antennas are always a good sign, and the specs mention 802.11 a and n, so hassle-free video streaming is likely. So at those specs, you really only need to worry about software. If there are any deal-breaking bugs, find them out. Many TV boxes with RK3188 came with Android builds that wouldn't load Netflix, so its very important to see if bugs are minor or major annoyances. Performance you need not worry as RK3288's GPU is plenty for any Android app on the market. 8GB storage translates to 7.5GB usable (usually) and 300-500MB of that is often OS, leaving a little more than 7GB for apps. 7GB is fine for many, but if you're interested in HD games that often use 1-3GB, then you want to setup apps2SD and you want that SD to be a swanky high-performance one.

If I had $130, which I don't, I'd probably get it, but ordering and returning to and from China is a pain, so if you're going to pick it, be sure.

I wonder if that was the point of game streaming
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    But it's a dead end
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, people who cant download it can still play the game
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
If your internet speeds are fast enough. Streaming 4k takes alot. I used to only have 20mb sec, and 4k struggled. Now I have 300mb sec and 4k plays fine.

I think Game streaming should work like this.... Local Hardware able the run the game fine, game engine and common assets stored locally, all FMV and music and textures could be streaming

Or free government supplied high speed internet be nice also. Like Obama care. Xdqwerty that's cool, its time consuming but rewarding once done or playable, to see what you've made from scratch. Animations take forever, but worth it.

    @BigOnYa,
and the visual aspect of the game is quite crude (the sprite that looks best is that of the protagonist just because he is a stickman with sunglasses)

  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
There is a bullets behaviour you assign to your character, that makes the code easier, under "behaviours"
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
i meant that when the character is pointing to the right, the bullets spawn where they should, but when he is on the right, they move to the right but the spawn point is incorrect
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Itch.io has lots of free assets also. Under the bullets behavior tab, there is a "rotate bullets" option, can try that. Or in the code can try
    - fire bullet Player.X(PlayerDirection)

That's cool tho, I'm proud of you going back to it, not giving up. It is difficult at first to learn, but fun once you get the hang of it. I think I've watched every tutorial video there is, but I still struggle sometimes to get stuff to work right. But gotta keep trying dif things, and eventually you will get it right.
