I don't think that it would stay down like this too much, it would be up again soon because of the error message you can understand the site is still up but it's blocking us. Maybe they are updating/changing something?
Yeah but with apache it's best security practice to get the same forbidden error on empty directories. Meaning they just deleted the entire webroot.

But your scenario could be just as likely. They're currently hosted in Texas (unless I'm just looking at cloudflare IP). It is possible they're moving servers (especially if it's hosted in the US) and it's just a temporary outage.

With the current state of everything, I'm not too concerned. I'm pretty optimistic on us getting alternatives pretty soon.

One can only hope, especially since I just paid $38 for a SX OS license. All I need to do is activate it. It won't let me activate through the switch since their servers are down.

What they should do is like what the piratebay does....just host a bunch of different proxy websites all over the world so if one gets taken down you can easily access another.

Yeah hopefully they are able to do something like that.

Best scenario is moving the domain to an offshore host and it should be online in a couple of days. If not it has been seized.

It will probably be back.

EDIT: I get 403 error. So the url is directing to probably an old directory for some reason. I don't know how fast Cloudflare is to update their DNS redirections.

EDIT2: Recommendation if you got a SX product and want to get it activated, do it as soon as the website is up. Even if you will never use it. It's probably a matter of time before the urls are seized by DoJ and FBI.

I have been waiting and refreshing today, and Team Xecuter sites have just been restored. Now it seems that waiting is effective.

My SX Core is still on its way and I won't receive the flux before the beginning of November...

Do you it could be possible to connect the SX core using some wires and some tape just for a second, just to pass the activation ?

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
