people abused the system by creating bots to generate codes and enter codes under different emails
now toco bell has no idea how to tell who cheated from legitimate users
They should reset the whole system, allow every legitimate user to input the same code again, this time via SMS so that scamming/using multiple numbers would be impeded and THEN tally up the codes. This basically eliminates "cheating" as to do so you'd have to use multiple SIM cards to enter the lottery numerous times.

I haven't eaten at a Taco Hell since the salmonella scare years ago. The food is gross and the employees are equally gross. Sorry I don't want some fat ass pimply high school kid handeling my food.

A Vita is not worth a sore asshole from the shits, stomach cramps, and night of puking your guts out.

Gotta love promos like these.

Either the employee's stealth steal the codes (Like they did back when 7/11's Slurpees were giving out all those epic prizes with points), or the company themself screws it up.

Either way, i know those people who got false wins must be pissed. Wonder if they can do anything

It's one thing for the screen to output they had won, but it's another for them to be registered as winners in their database (considering they knew who to email). They deserve a Vita

Okay, this is how administration over most networks looks like in real life:
[yt]h1oxM89JIRM[/yt]
They probably just made a loop-back program that was supposed to send e-mails with "You are a winner! Pick up your prize!" or "You lost, sorry. Do try again!" content, but for whatever reason it only sent the first type of messages, causing this whole f*ck-up and now they're saying someone tampered with it while facts are that they just designed it in a crappy way and implemented this bad system that had more holes then swiss cheese much to their later dismay.

The process of mailing people back doesn't even require a "person" infront of a "screen", it can be all automated, and as history proved countless times, computers may be helpful, but when you get down to the details, they're pretty dumb and they're not going to correct you if you give them stupid directives.

you better stay away from mcd, kfc and pretty much ANY fast food outlet than!

I don't. The only kind of fast food I really eat is pizza and it's not from any of the 3 major franchises. We get it from a local place owned by some 2nd gen Italian immigrants with a hottie daughter that usually delivers.

On topic: I can see a lawsuit from this and not just against Taco Hell but also some how I can see Sony being involved.

I went to Taco Bell with a bunch of friends, and bought the box. No code was found on the box, so I brought it back to the guy working the counter and this followed:
Me: "Where's the code?"
Him: "Wut?"
Me: "For the contest." *points at contest ad on the menu*
Him: "I have never seen that before in my life."

Lesson for all you Tempers: Don't move to Louisiana.

Ah a fellow louisiana member. Yeah I was the same thing

I went to Taco Bell once and instead of meat it looked like a dog with diarrhea had shat all over the cardboard tasting tacos.
