Hey IronMask,

Thanks for that FTPii link. I'm getting steady 560K/sec dumping the nand thru wireless. 16 minutes to dump 500M nand file ain't bad. Love having access to the Wii's Internal File System too.

You guys should try out this new FTPii IronMask found. Might be a little dangerous for some though. I think he posted the link earlier in the thread.
I looked and I lost it so I can't repost the link. Just thought I'd let you all know how much I like the App.

Jizmo,

which version of ftpii are you using..
i parsed the topic for any link by IronMask but could not find it.
i do not have a wii with me right now but if I am not mystaken my ftpii only grant me access to my SD... ?!?!

Cheers,
R

I'm also interested in this version.
Will it allow you to also upload to the wii's nand ?

Here is the FTPii that give access to more of the system. Didn't try uploading to the NAND. But you can examine the shared2 folder with it and have access to the two 500M NAND images.

http://rapidshare.com/files/182704213/ftpi...dumper.zip.html

That version also gives access to Wii discs, both the file system and as an image. Thus you can just pop in a disc and grab WAD:s from the update partition via FTP. (You might have to press B and select up for remount of disc first.) You can also pop it as an iso. (Doesn't work with dual layer WODs though; popped in my original SSBB to test -- just shows it as a dvd5-sized image.)

Thing is, this is implemented in the trunk of ftpii:s svn-repo. You just have to recompile it from source to get all this nifty functions. Will most certainly be included in the next official release.

Yea, I kind of thought it would be of some interest... and well... I happened to see someone post a link to it on #wiidev yesterday before I was banned for saying the word.... well we won't go back there... but hope it helps... It shows to images of the NAND... one w/ ecc and one without ecc.

Patching IOS50 is a bad idea!

Did anybody think about trucha? A cIOS50 would be trucha signed, but does the 3.4 system menu load a trucha signed IOS? I can't imagine a reason why it should not do this test.

PS: My multi_cios_installer doesn't allow to install a cIOS to IOS30 or IOS50.

Guys I'm really interested in helping and I've already got it installed. I'm just wondering, if one of the system cios got corrupted(cios 30) could I still run disks from the rescue menu?

Hahahaha..... i just mounted the DVD like you said and that is sweet. And there sits BOOT2-64-v2.wad and IOS9-64-v516.wad right in front of my nose.

This is pretty sweet... individual access to the VP6 movies on the Game discs. I got some experimenting to do for the next couple hours.

I can't wait till all the functions are implemented with this. Love seeing the RBKE69 Spielberg | EA BoomBlox (Wii) [USA].img in FTP, will be nice when we can just copy that .img right out of the WOD folder that FTPii mounts.

EDIT: DUMPING the Disc .img right off the DVD for Wing Island 1:1 Backup. Wonder why it didn't work for Boomblox. OK, this is good, im able to dump the .img file straight out of Rock Band also so looks like that is a working function. If thats a burnable image will be sweet, and i see no reason it wouldn't be. I'll test it by dragging it onto IOS Patcher and open it with WiiU. gonna take a while to dump though.

Hoping access to more than just SHARED2 will be available through the ISFS soon also. Extreme potential with this type of access.

Mounting a Decrypted Disc mounts the WOD but not the FST file system. Guess we have to have the 9660 system working to access the file system of the decrypted disks.

Here is what the WOD folder shows for decrypted SIM City Creator PAL Decrypted....
EDIT: Mounted 3 Decrypted Discs and they all show the WOD folder as the following.....
1:1 Backups show a single (RBKE69 Spielberg | EA BoomBlox (Wii) [USA].img) official image

Decrypted Discs WOD Folder
---------------------------------------
gc.img -- 1,459,978,240
wii.img -- 4.699,979,776
wii_dual.img -- 8,511,160,320

1:1 Disc WOD Folder
---------------------------------------
RBKE69 Spielberg | EA BoomBlox (Wii) [USA].img

It is interesting that an Original of Twilight Princess cannot be read and fails mounting with all 3 file systems
confirmed will not mount original Wii Sports Either. I think maybe FTPii is using IOS9 or another low IOS that I don't have the DIP module assigned to. EDIT: Already been sent to me: Can somebody PM me the link to a DIP patched IOS9 please. I don't thin I ever bothered to change IOS9 over.

I believe Trent fox's wad packer .2b packs a .wad not trucha signed. Just everyone will have to patch there own.

wow...that's all I have to say...I've been reading this thread since the beginning and finally decided to test myself after fully understanding the capabilities and risks and the like...and all I have to say is wow. I feel pretty brick-proof confident now with the ability to boot burns from a starfall...amazing...

I hope this continues and that the 3.4 patching goes as planned I am truly shocked at the thoughts of everyone in order to achieve this.

Just dropped in to let you all know I'm astounded and great job!

Yes i agree patching the IOS50 is the worst Idea,

well i patched the IOS50 for you by hand, i'm not sure how its going to work, 50/50 brick risk, are high, Myself i dont think it will work plus i'm not sure how to block updates yet without starfall, I have a method, but i havn't tested it yet
So good luck and hope you dont brick, I gave you the PM for the CIOS50, atleast your wii is under Warranty

what other ios's should i patch, all of cisocorp are installed, what about 3.4's ios254, ios9 or any others

ios254 isn't needed IOS9 i think is in the download? atleast it was in the one i had,

You'll still need to find away to block updates on 3.4, that isn't implemented yet

how can we make what Red Squirrel's Menu Rebooter does permanent, that works perfect on 3.4 but a pain to run it for every game. It stays in memory for the the same game even when powered off, just needs to be loaded again when you eject

3.4 has been checked and no code suggests auto install feature....it's more of a extra warning to be honest.

Also if you dont accept the agreement it means you dont agree to Nintendo to upgrade without permission. You just cant use the shopping channel, big whoop.

Sorry, bit off-topic, but the link has reached it's limit. Could someone please upload this ftpii nand version again ?

----> No need for a re-upload. It's on wiibrew. Download is on the right.

Thanks !

PS
The thread could use this bump... Almost dropped to page 2.

patched ios50 loaded, but now i get the update icon in the disc channel, same thing that happened to me in 3.2

Hold on Hold on, why in the flying f#^$* is anyone still in 3.4?

Downgrade to 3.2, and using Emporor of Canada's guide, which also comes with the Shop channel installer. and Just search for the Mii channel update, you're bound to find it.

3.4 is the WORST System menu to be on. If you want homebrew, stay away from it.

i havnt come across 1 thing that dont work on 3.4 besides making the disc channel launch backups but menu rebooter works for that, also so does gamma .3b

I just want to find a way to make the disc channel do it automaticaly
