i don't think it really requires a tutorial.

Dump your NAND, to get your original IOS's (i missed this part lol.)

System 3.2 -- ESSENTIAL
StarFall --- ESSENTIAL
INSTALL ALL WADS IN THE PACK

JOBS A GOODEN

LOL, there it is.
It reallty is simple enough.
But, what do I do with the dump and how do I dump it.
Also, where do I get that pack with the wads.
And wasn't the multi cios installer the better way to go about it ?
Which starfall hacks do I need to install ?

Call me stupid, but that's just the info I think should be mentioned in a tut.

Not flaming you at all, I appreciate you reply. But it brings questions at the same time.
So once again (for the last time) I ask for a complete tut (with proper warnings and links the needed files and tools), to avoid bricks and dissapointments.

dude..its not my project to write a tutorial for.

and the creators have specifically stated NO TUTORIAL

this is not ment for mass install because we dont know how its gonna react to future updates.

I know it's not your project, also I didn't mean for you to write up a tut.

Also I understand the creators point on the tut issue.
But discussing and figuring this method out on one of the bigger wii boards on the internet is bound to bring up questions.

LOL, I'll be re-reading the first 20+ pages somewhere this weekend and get this running on my wii.

thankyou very much arman

installed to my 2 wiis and all is ok i have tryed all my games and all is fine i have a usa shake it or so i thought that played also will check that disc out and see what it is .
excellent work

i hack wii for friends and family but i think ill stick to the loaders for theres until this is more tested but it would make the process much easier for peeps who only play backups on there wiis along with disc backup channel there would be no need for them to have homebrew channel at all so less likely to do something stupid

frantic people like your self is the reason why a tut is not available if you cant understand by the posts how to get this working you should not be doing this at all .its for your sake there is no tut or link to files

Please don't assume I don't have any knowledge on how to get this working.
I'm just lazy.
Furthermore, as I said before, people WILL attempt this based on the posts and miss important stuff.

But enough with the tut discussion...
I'll get it working.

Just Stuck in Destroy all Humans NTSC and it showed up on my Pal wii disc channel fine?
So some other regions do work. =)

Is it an NTSC game that is PAL region patched?

pretty interesting read
you guys are (a little) crazy to test thing you don't fully masterize

some questions though for smart minds:

1/ what happen when the CIOS patcher patches the IOS it is currently using
2/ how can you be sure that simply replacing 00000001.app works with all IOS ? How can you say for sure it has no consequences ? you would have to disassemble and analyze each IOS for sakeness
3/ further IOS update problem: what happen with upcoming games making automatic update ? if you are not aware and just boot you retail copy, you might end up screwing your wii compleetly

again, the dangerous thing is that this is permanent change in your console (the idea of having a completely fake-signed and IOS-hacked wii seems a little scary) and that even if you have backup all your NAND, how are you going to restore it once your wii is bricked ?

buy a modchip ? whooot, too bad to end like this when the first goal was obviosuly to get ride of it

Why does everybody keep saying this is a permanent change. It is in no way permanent. You can just as easily revert to factory IOS as you did to cIOS.

We cannot say for sure it has no consequences. That is why there is no official release because with so manu IOS changes there is a lot of testing to be done.

As far as all of your worries about what could happen..... I dont have those worries. It's just a computer guys.

You can easily get rid of all the cIOS at a time, by just doing an official update thru the Wii Settings...!!!

Then just downgrade yourself back into a 3.2 starfall...(which would be wise) and go about your business..

I think the next step in this venture is definately to find a way for the disc channel to recognize non-native region games through the disc channel... Even if it was meant to patch the .iso itself for the time being.... would probably be the most easiest approach? This would mean maybe using Wii scrubber, Region Changer and another tool to extract something and replace it with something a native region game uses??(Some sort of combination) I am still not anywhere near able to do this myself... but I was trying to get the ball rolling in some direction if this "experimenting" is going to address and focus on non-region side issues we are having with the "CIOSCORP" project .

Hi

just installed the wads all went ok most games play ok
just the usual suspects won,t work
super smash bros
disaster day of crisis
mario party 8
wii music
anyone any sugesstions how to get them working in the disc channel

cheers

I think for the out of region disc issue we are going to have to wait for CSM to come out. As it stands not even the loader can force a region through the disc channel. It seems to me that the system menu is going to have to be patched itself to load out of region games. And even then were going to have issues when a game doesn't support the video mode of your system. Not sure if there is a total workaround to this... Seem to recall that if a game doesn't natively support a video mode you can't get it to run in that video mode regardless of what you do.

Disaster day of crisis does even work with the leaked loader by Waninkoko. If you don't get this game to work, you are doing something wrong. It's either bad .iso, bad burn or wrong region.

My smash bros, wii music and mario party all work.... you sure those games are the same region as your wii?
Side note, I did my install with the cios multi installer. Someone shoot me the link to the wad packs, i want to see if there is any difference between the two methods.

He said "usual suspects", so i guess he has coasters.

PS:
Here is the list with the games i think you _could_ have problems with, when you replace all IOS on your wii:
- games from another region
- MLB power pros 2008
- Summer Sports 2
- SSBB DVD9 version
- (Sam & Max Season 1)
- (Far Cry Vengeance)

ALL other games should work with this method, if not, they are most likely coasters

HI

all these games worked fine with gamma loader they are all the correct region
so i don,t know what the problem is ?
