still hasn't been fixed.

Trucha'd disks would run, but this removes cioscorp, so it will only work on modchips.
Yeah I have a launch Wii with YAOSM. ^^

Every IOS there is, even if you have it allready? And if so does it take the older versions of the IOSs that are still on Nintendos servers that still have the trucha bug and a few other bugs that nintendo fixed this time or are you grabbing the new versions and patch the trucha bug in there?

It's giving me an error, and Google was no help!

Now, the same error occurred with the plain IOS60 installer... so it's not the auto-installer's fault. I just wish I could figure out how to fix it.

Here's what it says:

So it seems like there's a problem downloading the files? Though I also don't know what -1017 means. I have a WiiKey, but that shouldn't affect this should it?

I'm on 3.2U, it has all sorts of hacks like StarFall, cIOSes, etc. But I fiugred StarFall would just get removed and the cIOS 249 or whatever would remain.

-TW Hack, probably will be updated, and if you has HBC already installed it is unnecessary.
-Preloader is not much usefull for a modded Wii (my case)

Let's make a full list of what is lost when updating for 4.0?


Also, last time we 3.2 users, only had to install the new IOS to keep everything running, while keeping the 3.2 version of the Wii Menu.

Is possible do something like that again?

well I don't know whether this updater works or not but i have updated with wanin's loader and then with the cIOS downgrader 1.2 I went back to 3.2E. And then with wanin's loader back to 4.0E again. I can run wads from the sd, install new wads and run dols. And games can boot from the Gamma as well.

When i was back at 3.2E I could use the Starfall channel too.

Thing is ... the only trucha disk I have (no more heroes with blood) gives a black screen but that is an ancient copy that most probably only had the 576i pal display in.

So the only thing I am not sure is if trucha works after all this upgrading / downgrading.

EDIT: so yeah I am stoopid. I just changed the wii settings to 576i pal and no more heroes plays just fine. So with wanin's loader you can keep the trucha thingy on 4.0 and run stuff from the sd. Just make sure you have 300ish free blocks (it's mentioned at the read me that noone .. reads

) and you won't get screwed.

updated my brothers wii just fine.

but my wii does't run through.

always get some http://-Errors. (sometimes @ IOS60, sometimes at an later IOS ....)

is it my connection or something else?
