Atmosphere will then continue to be behind for lack of XCI loading (superior feature,) USB HDD/Thumb drive support, and cheat support.

for you that is.

Don't assume your needs are the needs of everyone else. To you, XCI loading might be a superior feature, for others it might be custom .kip loading.

You can use kips to go online (lan play) unsupported games turned into lan play if you have a banned switch.

Just a small nitpick: A new update doesn't have to burn fuses. It probably should, though as to prevent downgrading with either a backup or Choidojour. But then again, where did you get the total number of 32/24 fuses left? From what I can gather odm_reserved consists of 256 fuses, so we would have 248 left by now. Plenty of room for Nintendo to smash out an update every month for another 20 years.
I'll try to find the source.

For what it's worth, this is what I used to try and figure out the number of fuses:

https://switchbrew.org/wiki/Fuses#eFuses

It mentions that the bootloader burns the fuses in the "odm_reserved" region and in the table it mentions the "odm_reserved" region is 256 bits in size. It's based on the assumption that 1 fuse = 1 bit as a fuse only has two binary states: intact or blown.

That would definitely make more sense. I don't see why nin would limit themselves to 32 but I was quoting from a discord discussion from some reputable people.

Nobody cares about kips.
These SX threads are so full of dumb-ass-ery. Custom KIP's are the reason you can play the pirated games you're so focused on (and basically any other non-HorizonOS supported feature).

It wouldn't really make sense for Nintendo to limit themselves to 32 "stability" (read: fuse-burning) updates when they already released 56 Updates for the 3DS. So it was probably some misunderstanding or misinterpration of the discord discussion (maybe talking about other efuses, who knows).

I mean, I might be wrong with my number of 256 (I am in no way implying to have any major knowledge about efuses), it's just that 32 would simply be unreasonably low but would be mathematically plausible if Nintendo were to use a whole byte for each fuse, because 256 bits are equal to 32 bytes.

WAIT WAIT WAIT what is "VirtualWii Function" is this Wii ware or Wii "Emulation?" Running Wii games would shock me to the core, where we are currently in the world of technology it just can't be done. we have to overclock the switch in order to get N64 emulation to work. (yes its bad optimization) but still, Wii games running in the switch just can't be done. Please, someone, explain this to me on what exactly it is.
