Isn't it a bit odd how there hasn't been an official thread about this as of yet.
I was expecting bylaws or any other person affiliated with project to post about it in the Switch CFWs section, much like they did for the Linux L4T thread.

The official thread is over on xda - because that's where android lives, I guess.

Yup... as soon as TWRP and Magisk is involved XDA is where it's at.

And that ain't a bad thing, I've seen some of the dumb pointless nerd-fights here. I guess they wanted civilized adults to work on it... go figure. They might actually make progress instead of starting dork wars (as I begin to remember Cyanogen VS Lineage and completely ruin that argument lol...)

According to the xda thread, there is no reboot to hekate in software implemented, so you always have to reinject to switch back to Atmosphere.

adb achieved.
Kodi achieved.

(Touchscreen input on Kodi doesnt really work, so you have to use an app like webkey (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.webkey) to set up the controller mappings for the switch joycons (make sure to connect them via bluetooth first.) in Kodi. Download webkey, register an account (email can be fake, isnt checked), then control Kodi on the switch via your PC keybord. Arrowkeys and enter. Backspace is the back button. Go to settings, input settings, and from there remap the Kodi controller, by navigating to the buttons and pressing enter. Then press the controller buttons on your joycons. Kodi preset is a Xbox 360 controller, so map, the Joycon buttons accordingly (A=B B=A, ...), use the keyboard to confirm and exit the menu, then the joycons should work in Kodi. They do for me. Exit Kodi via the power button symbol once to save the config.)

Any webvideo from any PC linkshared (url handed over to Kodi) and started on the Switch - achieved. (needs adb and https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-macos-linux-scripts-to-interface-with-android.531237/ )

Samba still no luck, but havent tried command line stuff. Also don't know if it would work on Android 8.1. :)

Transfering via adb and ftp is fine though. :)

Drastic (full speed Nintendo DS emulation) achieved.

The fan is quite audible during gameplay though.

Is there a way to reduce CPU/GPU speed (profiles/governors)?

You can change profiles under battery settings.

Thank you. In 'extreme energy savings mode' (with profile set to energy saving as well (probably doesnt matter)), the fan runs at least two steps slower, and Phoenix Wright still runs full speed (with rare frameskips).

Seems like I'll be playing a bunch of DS games on the switch now. :)

edit: If you are using adb, make sure to download WiFi adb (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ttxapps.wifiadb) as well. It auto enables wireless adb after every reboot, so you dont have to. :)

PS4 remote play, with joycons, fullscreen - achieved.

To get it working, follow this guide:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ni...ion--development/ps4-remote-play-joy-t3953197

To hide the navigation bar (and make the remote play app fullscreen), follow this guide - but choose the Oreo version of gravity box instead:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ni...ion--development/ps4-remote-play-joy-t3953197

ATTENTION this will remove the nav bar entirely - so no back button available. Joycon home button still acts like home, so you can navigate the android installation. A touch navigation replacement is also listed in the thread - there are others out there as well. To get the navbar back, enable it in gravity box and reboot.

Where can I get this vertical joycon stand?
