Hey everybody,

After about a month and a half of development, the major update to the SwitchBru DNS is now available to the public, which includes being able to add custom links, change your theme, and create a user to add friends and send messages, all based on the real Nintendo Switch OS design.

If you would like to use these features on the SwitchBru DNS, go into the Wifi settings on your Switch, go into the current network's settings, and change it's Primary DNS to 045.055.142.122 (you will have to change this back to automatic if you want to use the internet as normal again, and to get back to the browser just toggle it back to manual and it will automatically fill in the DNS). The browser will pop up, and after a little bit of loading the page will be ready for you to use. Head up to the top right to create a user account!

  • Added users
    • Official users are verified to avoid imposters
  • Added a Settings page where you can change your theme
    • Users can also create custom themes to use on the landing page
  • Added the ability to add friends and send messages to them
    • A SwitchBru Account needs to be linked first
    • Other users can also be blocked if necessary
  • Added the Friend Corner for meeting new users
  • Added the ability to add custom links to the "Useful Links" tab
  • Added the option to send error reports in case any bugs are encountered
  • Ads can now be disabled

If you have any questions or feedback, please leave them in the comments below!

I've asked this on another thread, but never got a concrete answer. Does this get rid of the "super nag" that everybody was complaining about? I'm on 4.1 and haven't connected to any network yet. I'm afraid if I try connecting to put the DNS in, I'll be hassled to update. I wasn't sure if going through this, or through ReSwitched DNS made a difference.

Besides that, fantastic job!

It doesn't "get rid of it" in the way that other's may think, as in stop it from happening (in fact, it is the main thing that the super nag is stopping people from accessing).

But if you leave the DNS active on your wifi, then no - it won't trigger the super nag. And even if it did, if you've never connected to a network it literally won't matter anyway, all it does is stop you from opening the browser.

Hope that helps. :)

Thank you! Yeah, I'm not concerned about online at all honestly. But I will certainly try this out!

Very smooth! Though is it me or is the Friend Corner really slow?
Hm, I've seen this said quite a lot. I think people misunderstand how it works. The Friend Corner is a place where you can meet people who are also in the Friend Corner - so there has to be users in there as well for them to show up. The loading icons aren't actually loading users, but rather waiting for other users to show up. I hope that makes sense.

Sounds good to me! Be sure to add me and I hope you enjoy all the features.

Ah, I see. That indeed makes sense. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Is there a way to use Pegaswitch with this to load up HBL on 3.0? Or do I have to use different DNS settings for each?

I use pass*phrases * generally so, longer and not terribly hard to remember. But I write my work password down in my phone, because I run Amphetamine on my work macbook so it doesn't go to sleep (I work from home so no unattended access issues). I RARELY have to ever enter my password, because of that, so if I don't write it down I will 100% forget it. 10 times in 3 months would be on the higher end of how often I type it in
