After hinting about the update, Nintendo just dropped the 5.0.0 firmware update for the Nintendo Switch. It doesn't include much, but includes more features such as new icons and improved parental controls security, as well with some bug fixes such as resolving the Play Activity bug. As always, don't update if you want homebrew.

I'm on 4.1.0 and have decided that I'll hold off on updating.....

But then again I also told myself that when I received my console on 1.0.0......

*Yawn* I thought there'd be important changes.

The update was only a fan service to fix the game time issue IMO.

I wonder what's going through the head of the guy that made those first 5.0 leaks

^This, not worth the update. Is there a list of servers that we can actually block?

Man!! What a letdown... But on the other side of the coin, there´s no "itch" to update. Minor things, that my brain isn´t craving to get. Just hope that the homebrew reaches my 4.1 version soon.

Well, damn. No more Splatoon for me, for the time being, I guess

Yo @SciresM, any idea if this closed any exploits?

If you need a tester on 5.0.0 I might bite the bullet if it'd help the community

Got a Switch this past week that was on 4.0.1. Went ahead and updated to 4.1.0 to enable >32GB SD cards and got 3 eshop games while doing so.

Glad I did as it will be staying there for a long time now.

apparently it has added a functionality that verifies if it is using the factory hardware (processor, rom, etc), or not a copy to glitch the system.

How can I block this update with my Switch being on 4.1.0? I already tried but it was way more difficult than on Wii U or 3DS, can someone redirect me where can I see how to block them or tell me?

It's probably asked a lot sorry if it annoys anyone
