Can you possibly unlock the CPU clock to 2397mhz ? it helps RAM bandwith alot even it only increases by 100mhz (shown on tinybench) and it impacted the perf a lil bit (around 1FPS more on some game i tested) which is alot for overclocker. 2397 been around for quite awhile and it's unnecessary to reduce the max clock if the main purpose of this project is to "overclock". thank you~

Essentially the whole deal is because Mariko is a meme when it comes to binnings, some consoles can sometimes reach higher than 2.397, and others can barely get to 2.302

I think most consoles' binning cannot withstand 2397, so no plans to unlock it for now. And for games that I've tested, 2397 doesn't make difference in frames. Not sure about emulation or other games.

And about voltage issue you mentioned. I cannot reproduce issue you mentioned, so please write detailed issue on github issues page. Does it happen with my latest release?

WIP: I am now improving governor algorithm. improved freq scaling, which means less stutter. going to test few tricks and will include in next release
Im gonna open issue on github later about voltage thingy

For those wanting 2397 CPU, what/s your CPU speedo?
I will collect data and then will decide to put it as unlock option in customization tab or not.
I think 1fps is margin of error, since fps tends to fluctuate. And if you are in situation where so desparate to use 2397 for a lot more power draw, I don't think the game is meant for 60fps unlock

  • updated governor algorithm
  • on mariko device, if cpu governor is on and cpu profile value is greater than 1020Mhz, minimum scaling frequency will be set to 1020Mhz. this is because cpu going under 1020 can lag ui or hang device, but power saved from it is not that much on mariko.

I might not be working on this project for a while unless critical bug is found. (cuz i'm busy)

I just tried your releases. The CPU governor problem still exist (tried on Nier automata) it's still stucked at 1020mhz whenever the governor is enabled.

I checked nier automata and it works fine. Check again?
In latest release I changed governor that it doesn't go under 1020 in mariko (if you set cpu highter than 1020 in settings)
and nier automata has low cpu usage so in title screen it doesn't go above 1020 since cpu load is like under 20%

XBC3 sure was a weird one cuz it uses only core0, and in uses 100% load even in title screen.

Even cpu heavy games will drop cpu under 1020 in some scenarios like saving the game, or in title menu. The problem is that cpu clock dropping too low can make the ui lag, or sometimes freeze system. On mariko, power saved from going under 1020 is not that much(clocks under 1020 use same voltage as 1020), so decided it's better to prevent lag than save tiny bit of power.

It will still go under 1020 if you didn't touch values ( that is default values) or set cpu profile lower than 1020, so that it will prolong battery in light games like picross

which part?
you have to put the kip file in exact location in readme, then if you using hekate, edit hekate_ipl.ini file.

what i can tell you is carefully read the readme file, and search in the original thread.
