eBay, Amazon, or wherever is the cheapest as long as you can guarantee that it is unpatched. Also, you can only hack an OLED Switch with a modchip so if your plan is to hack, then the choice is obvious. Is eBay the best place to buy an unpatched switch? I don’t know whether to get an unpatched switch or an oled switch?
If you want to dual boot check this out. (I do something very close but with SXOS, Atmosphere, HOS, Android, L4T and Lakka…all on the same SD card.)Im just to dumb to find the thread on how to use different sd cards, one with atmos and the other with sxos. Can someone help me find it?
What chip would an oled need is there someone on these forums that could install it?eBay, Amazon, or wherever is the cheapest as long as you can guarantee that it is unpatched. Also, you can only hack an OLED Switch with a modchip so if your plan is to hack, then the choice is obvious.
It would require either an SX Core or HWFly which are modchips that require soldering. Also, nobody on these forums will be offering to install it for you as Nintendo sent cease and desist letters to all chip installers to make it harder for people to hack any Switch that isn't patched. What chip would an oled need is there someone on these forums that could install it?
Makes sense just going to buy an oled switch and keep it stock thanks though it just seems like a waste to pay so much for an inferior switch which I can’t take onlineIt would require either an SX Core or HWFly which are modchips that require soldering. what you mean is it wont take up more space on visible partition? but it WILL take more space if i install in invisible, or system emulated partition? When using emuMMC, the space on your SD card is split into 2 parts. The allocated space is for your emuMMC partition and the unallocated space is the remaining space that wasn't used for the emuMMC partition. Since emuMMC is meant to be a clone of sysMMC, that also means we have to clone the internal memory of the sysMMC. There are 2 ways of achieving this; either file or partition-based emuMMC. File-based emuMMC has the internal memory of the emuMMC be treated as a singular file whereas partition-based emuMMC allocates part of your SD card's storage as a partition to be treated as internal memory. Since this space is already taken up by the partition, installing content to the internal memory of the emuMMC won't take up more space. And you can always check how much internal memory is left by booting into emuMMC and going into Data Management.
Go to 'settings > data management > software' find a title with question mark on it and delete it (click on it > delete software)I've been using Awooo Installer. Looks like all the games were installed... but I have this constant loading Icon for one of the installed games that won't launch...not detrimental, but super annoying. How do I get rid of this?
When you created your emuMMC, you had to partition part of your SD card. That partition is initially just empty space because its meant to emulate (which is what emu in emuMMC is short for) the internal memory of your actual console or sysMMC. This empty space has already been pre-allocated meaning its not available for normal usage with your SD card. However this empty space is available for usage with the internal memory of your emuMMC. And since the space has been pre-allocated, installing anything to it will not take up anymore space on your SD card. Of course, you cannot install anything if it would exceed the remaining space in the pre-allocated partition and you cannot expand the partition either. Everything else that happens outside the partition is treated like normal; installing content to the SD card within emuMMC will lead to the same results as installing content to the SD card while in sysMMC.what you mean is it wont take up more space on visible partition? but it WILL take more space if i install in invisible, or system emulated partition?
Can we merge NSP / DLC somehow ? Some switch games have a silly amount of DLC & I was wondering if we could merge them as one & install them as one ?
