Ok so my emunand has disappeared and all my games and save data?

I need to start over with guide I made sysnand I need to start again and make emunand?

If you can’t see it on your card then this could be the issue. See if you have a 30Gig partition on your SD Card by looking at Disk Manager on your PC. If it’s not there then there’s little we can do but use Hekate to create a new one. You will lose your games doing this and will need to reinstall.

The worrisome part is how it got that way to begin with. How certain are you that your card is legit? You could fix it and then be right back in the same situation again. If there’s any doubt it will be in your best interest to check it by running h2testw to make sure. This process will require a format to FAT32 w/ 32k blocks using rufus.

Yeah, just browsing through the menus/options of the switch is fine.
I also have thought of something related to the heating but there are a couple of things that let me put aside this option:
1- If I play a non-demanding game (e.g. Tony Hawk 1+2), I can play through the whole battery life without any problem
2 - As soon as one of the more demanding NSPs (botw, link to the past, Mario, Luigi's Mansion, Resident Evil, Crash 4) freezes the first time and close due to a not coded error, then everything else freeze and close within 2-3 minutes, even if I let the switch cool down
So heat is a weird phenomenon. It spreads around and stores up and dissipates. It’s not an all or nothing thing. Just clicking around and lower demand games are probably able to get by with ambient air pulling just enough heat away to not crash the machine. Heck, your fan may be able to spin a little bit, just not full speed. Once you overheat there is a certain amount of heat that’s going to have been generated but hasn’t spread through the cooling system yet. it can be just enough to take out the game first and even though you’re letting it cool there’s still collected heat that needs to be dealt with that continues to then lock up the entire machine. You should take your back shell off so you can more directly observe the fan.

The 29.16G partition looks great and is where your emunand is supposed to be. You would not be able to mount that partition and modify it with Windows Explorer. You need a special tool like NXNandManager installed on your PC to check that partition. If NXNandManager doesn’t see an Emunand on your SDCard then we have little choice but to recreate a new copy of yiur Sysnand to serve as your emunand.

We are simply confirming wether or not there is an emunand on your SDCard. I’m glad we did this because what you‘re showing what looks like a perfectly good emunand.

Yes, you should ponder what might have happened to arrive in this situation so yiu can avoid it happening again. Not going to lie…we kind of got lucky on this one. Not sure how else we would have come to this weird conclusion other than looking at screenshots.

Bottom Line: Glad you’re sorted.

I guess I thought I seen folders on the sd card moving or deleted like the laptop acting by itself.
That’s why I got focused on the folders as it started playing up after.
Is there anyway for me to check all my sd card structure incase I have some other minor folders in your place
Yes thanks I’m sorted and got my data back

There’s only a few main folders that you should worry about. /atmosphere, /bootloader, /emummc and /switch…going into much more detail than that wouldnt make much sense because there will be slight variations depending upon your Switch, the guide you follow, your preferences, the options you select, etc, etc.

Make frequent backups of your sd card (including that 29.16G partition) and you will be fine.

Now tinfoil shops not working

I need new game installer recommended one that good compatible
Tinfoil is unique for being the only installer that I’m aware of that offers shops. Check out titzpro, nekodrive, teknik

Alternatives require you to source backups from somewhere else…

Here are some of the installers I use on my Switch:

Installers

  • Tinfoil — Polished installer. Recommend the Self installing version.
  • DBI — Capable feature filled and fast installer.
  • Tinwoo — A nice installer for when you just want to install.
  • Goldleaf — The kitchen sink but it can also install games.

1) Enter into maintenance mode, Reboot and see if this fixes things.
2) Archive bit…Reboot and see if this fixes things.
3) Modify your hekate_ipl.ini file
place fusee.bin in /bootloader/payloads/
Thnx binkinator,
  • maintenance mode and archive bit from hekate made no difference but it is nice to learn them.
  • also cleared archive bit from windows. no files were under "/Nintendo/Contents/registered/" but I had files under "\emuMMC\RAW1\Nintendo\Contents\registered\" I'm not sure if I have to set archive bit on those?
  • latest fusee.bin was already in /bootloader/payloads/
  • I already had a fusee entry in the hekate_ipl.ini file
unfortunately non of these helped.
I also tried the following but those didn't help as well.
[Atmo Vanilla] fss0=atmosphere/package3 kip1=atmosphere/kips/* [Atmo EMU2] fss0=atmosphere/package3 emupath=emuMMC/RAW1 emummcforce=1

why updating ofw to 14.1.2 would break atmosphere cfw 14.1.1 in emunand?
what else can I try?

It really shouldn’t have made a difference at all.

please share the contents of your /bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini

also share a screenshot of your /bootloader/payloads directory and /atmosphere directory.
