So, what's a good way to unlock the DLCs that come with updates?I would recommend not using the unlocker files.
Hi guys,
My Switch is on fw 12.1 with atmosphere 1.0.0.
I would like to update to fw 13 and the latest atmosphere. Is there a step-by-step guide anywhere please?
I'm new to the modding scene on the Switch, read a lot of stuff but unsure about the process.
Thanks!
Thanks, I managed to update the official fw through Daybreak and Atmosphere/Hekate on my micro SD card. I also updated sigpatches. I'm using emuNAND.Atmosphere you just download and copy over to your SD. Firmware guide here that should be good. I used it a while back for 11.0.
https://switch.homebrew.guide/usingcfw/manualupgrade.html
Hope that helps.

When I launch CFW it just launches the Emunand. I'm trying to get it to launch custom firmware without launching the emunand, so I can update with choidujour and then manually update Atmosphere/Hekate. My next thing to try was using an older version of Hekate since I updated that too. What happens when you try launching CFW?

There isn't really any 'must have' homebrew applications because they all serve a wide variety of functions that not all people necessarily need.I have been out of the scene for some time. could I get a small 'must have' list of homebrew, no emulators.
Android is run exclusively from the SD card and not on Horizon, the main operating system, so its theoretically impossible to get banned.Ok. new here...
If I mod the switch and just want to install android on it, would I get banned? If I use the switch incognito?
Use actual DLC files, not unlockers. So, what's a good way to unlock the DLCs that come with updates?
Why do you want to update to firmware 13.0? No games require that firmware and if you want to play online, that is not a good idea with a hacked console.Hi guys,

Normally you could go on SX OS to retrieve the license.dat file but they are now dead. The "HACK SXOS" thread is a way for any console to utilize the paid features of SX OS. It won't retrieve the license.dat for you but it can make a new one for you to use instead.Hi, the microsd of my wife Switch lite died and she didn't backup the SX OS license.dat and if I try to use my Switch lite microsd it says "the license.dat file on your microSD card is invalid for this Switch Console"
Is there any way to get the license.dat back from the license-request.dat or "hack" it somehow? I tried to read a thread in here called "HACK SXOS" but it's still not clear if it's doable and it's working 100% without brick risks.
How do you know that it is launching emuMMC?When I launch CFW it just launches the Emunand. There is and the instructions on how to do so are usually included with the customs stages. Is there a way to add custom ssbu stages on a hacked console?

I had Fire Emblem 3 houses on my EmuMMC, no wifi connection, and literally nothing else. I solely setup the EmuMMC for that game and haven't played my switch since lol.How do you know that it is launching emuMMC?
I recently did a clean start on my hacked switch, and before I did I backed up my wife's Pokemon Snap save via Edizon. I copied it over to the new install, and its listed and all, but I get a error each time I try to restore. I backed up and restored a new save with Edizon, so that seems to work. Only thing I can think of is the save was from a different user account on the old install. I made "dummy" ones via a homebrew, which obviously cannot be retrieved now.
Is there anyway to import a save back up into a different profile? Or is this not even the actual problem?
Any help would be amazing, as my wife will be hella pissed to lose her Snap save lol.
I wanted my system to be up to date, just in case I want to use Bluetooth headphones. Why do you want to update to firmware 13.0? No games require that firmware and if you want to play online, that is not a good idea with a hacked console.

Well if you wish to update the firmware, you can either update it normally and burn fuses or use the homebrew application Daybreak which comes bundled with Atmosphere. If you choose the latter option, you will have to download the firmware files separately. Since they are copyrighted, no links or help can be given on where to find them but rest assured that they are available somewhere on the Internet.I wanted my system to be up to date, just in case I want to use Bluetooth headphones.
I don't play online and I have a separate micro sd card for homebrews/cfw with emuNAND, which has been configured with the exosphere.ini and default files for blocking Nintendo's servers on emuNAND.
And just to double check, this happens when trying to launch CFW - SysNAND?I had Fire Emblem 3 houses on my EmuMMC, no wifi connection, and literally nothing else. I solely setup the EmuMMC for that game and haven't played my switch since lol.
I used Daybreak with the official firmware (I found where to get these) to update emuNAND. I updated normally for sysNAND. I have three boot options. And just to double check, this happens when trying to launch CFW - SysNAND?
