Ok. new here...

If I mod the switch and just want to install android on it, would I get banned? If I use the switch incognito?

I recently did a clean start on my hacked switch, and before I did I backed up my wife's Pokemon Snap save via Edizon. I copied it over to the new install, and its listed and all, but I get a error each time I try to restore. I backed up and restored a new save with Edizon, so that seems to work. Only thing I can think of is the save was from a different user account on the old install. I made "dummy" ones via a homebrew, which obviously cannot be retrieved now.

Is there anyway to import a save back up into a different profile? Or is this not even the actual problem?

Any help would be amazing, as my wife will be hella pissed to lose her Snap save lol.

Hi guys,

My Switch is on fw 12.1 with atmosphere 1.0.0.

I would like to update to fw 13 and the latest atmosphere. Is there a step-by-step guide anywhere please?

I'm new to the modding scene on the Switch, read a lot of stuff but unsure about the process.

Thanks!

Atmosphere you just download and copy over to your SD. Firmware guide here that should be good. I used it a while back for 11.0.

https://switch.homebrew.guide/usingcfw/manualupgrade.html

Hope that helps.

Hi, the microsd of my wife Switch lite died and she didn't backup the SX OS license.dat and if I try to use my Switch lite microsd it says "the license.dat file on your microSD card is invalid for this Switch Console"

Is there any way to get the license.dat back from the license-request.dat or "hack" it somehow? I tried to read a thread in here called "HACK SXOS" but it's still not clear if it's doable and it's working 100% without brick risks.

Thanks, I managed to update the official fw through Daybreak and Atmosphere/Hekate on my micro SD card. I also updated sigpatches. I'm using emuNAND.

Now I'm getting an "Unable to start software" when launching TinFoil. What did I miss?

Edit: I updated sigpatches again through AIO and it works now!

Edit 2: hmmm, when I boot the official fw, my system options don't show 13.0 but "System update is ready". How come? What should I do now? (my cfw is on 13.0)

Edit 3: I just updated the official fw through OTA as usual. Now I understand the manual fw update through Daybreak is just for emuNAND and not sysNAND. All is well now, phew!

What happens when you try launching CFW?
When I launch CFW it just launches the Emunand. I'm trying to get it to launch custom firmware without launching the emunand, so I can update with choidujour and then manually update Atmosphere/Hekate. My next thing to try was using an older version of Hekate since I updated that too.

I have been out of the scene for some time. could I get a small 'must have' list of homebrew, no emulators.
There isn't really any 'must have' homebrew applications because they all serve a wide variety of functions that not all people necessarily need.

Android is run exclusively from the SD card and not on Horizon, the main operating system, so its theoretically impossible to get banned.
So, what's a good way to unlock the DLCs that come with updates?
Use actual DLC files, not unlockers.

Why do you want to update to firmware 13.0? No games require that firmware and if you want to play online, that is not a good idea with a hacked console.

Normally you could go on SX OS to retrieve the license.dat file but they are now dead. The "HACK SXOS" thread is a way for any console to utilize the paid features of SX OS. It won't retrieve the license.dat for you but it can make a new one for you to use instead.

How do you know that it is launching emuMMC?
Is there a way to add custom ssbu stages on a hacked console?
There is and the instructions on how to do so are usually included with the customs stages.

Hate to bump, but googled for hours and can't find any thing. I tried different versions of Edizon and still no dice.

I wanted my system to be up to date, just in case I want to use Bluetooth headphones.

I don't play online and I have a separate micro sd card for homebrews/cfw with emuNAND, which has been configured with the exosphere.ini and default files for blocking Nintendo's servers on emuNAND.

Well if you wish to update the firmware, you can either update it normally and burn fuses or use the homebrew application Daybreak which comes bundled with Atmosphere. If you choose the latter option, you will have to download the firmware files separately. Since they are copyrighted, no links or help can be given on where to find them but rest assured that they are available somewhere on the Internet.
I had Fire Emblem 3 houses on my EmuMMC, no wifi connection, and literally nothing else. I solely setup the EmuMMC for that game and haven't played my switch since lol.
And just to double check, this happens when trying to launch CFW - SysNAND?

I used Daybreak with the official firmware (I found where to get these) to update emuNAND. I updated normally for sysNAND. I think I should be OK?

Thanks for your input.

I have three boot options.

1) Stock (CFW) - for some reason boots emunand despite emunand being disabled
2) Emunand (CFW) - Doesn't boot lol?
3) Stock (Sysnand) - supposed to boot stock OS but I don't want to burn efuses so I'm not going to try it.

Edit: So I downloaded the old Kosmos 14.1 and that worked for all my boot options. Now I have to update to the latest 13.0, so I'm going to use Choidujour and update Atmospohere/Hekate manually. The hekate_ipl file seems to be hosted online, so I just need to figure out the boot options. Looks like Kosmos died shortly after I stopped using the Switch.

Hey all, I just recently updated Atmosphere to 1.1.1 and my emunand to software 13.0. When I start up now I get an error saying that my game cartridge slot cannot be read from. From what I understand this is because my emunand version is 13.0 but my stock system software is still on 11.0.1. In order to fix this, would it be as simple as removing the sd card, booting into the stock system and then updating my software through the nintendo servers? Or is there a work-around for this?

*EDIT*

As an aside to this, I originally was planning on never updating my system past 11.0.1 just in case a newer version removed functionality from running CFW, but I guess since my switch is unpatched it probably doesn't matter what software version I'm using right?

I have a weird issue and have looked and looked for a solution to it, on cfw when after tinfoil is installed and shop added get new games and recommended on the side list after a .nsp install most games when launched fails to start software, thats not my issue the issue is when i reload Tinfoil it reverts back to the original version and the update i just did to tinfoil is gone same wirth the titles new games and recommended. I appreciate all the devs hard work and thank you for your time
